Okay my game has stopped crashing for now. Fingers crossed.

Started playing Blitzcrank, and he is amazingly fun. I'll never need another support.

I used to be good at Blitzcrank. Then something happened to me and ever since I've missed 80% of all grabs. >_>

He is definitely fun, though. I personally prefer to play him more as a Blitztank, I don't really like the APen and AD set-up that Phreak used for him in his spotlight. Shurries and Fh are so amazing on him.

Depending on how the match is going I like getting early Sheen, though. His damage output is surprisingly high.

I just play him as a tanky support (so shurelyas, randuins maybe if I get there), since his damage is welcome but not exactly needed. I find him to be more of an initiator than anything. Rocket grab someone -> Your carry will melt them

and his damage output is high even without any AP items I find. Q+E+Ult = a pretty decent chunk of health off your target.

I might try Frozen Heart though, sounds great on Blitzcrank. But yeah Frozen Heart is great on basically anyone mana dependent

Literally carried a 4v5 as jungle Blitzcrank yesterday. Ganks on ganks getting my lanes fed whilst covering mid for the afk LeBlanc.

Well if you're playing him jungle you need a bit more damage, and I know a fair amount of people run APen reds on him for early harass. I find that Randuins is generally unnecessary if you have FH, so I'll only upgrade my HoG if we get to end-game and there's a big AD presence on the enemy team. I know some people play him with an AP twist, and I don't really like that very much either, because he only has 2 moves with AP ratios - one is more for utility and is a skillshot, and the other is his ultimate. Both have decent cooldowns, so I find that AP is kind of wasted on him. Sheen costs more than other early game items I'd rather have, such as Kindlegem or Glacial Shroud. But if you want to be aggressive, hell yeah Sheen is crazy damage output, especially with his E.

Yeah Realo, I haven't taken her mid but there are lots of characters that can burst quicker than her, and then once Level 6 hits there's not many mid matchups she would win. Safe farming perhaps, but then they have a farmed Ryze/Morg/whomever, which I think is worse. But at Top, she poops on champions without gap closers or reliable harass. Kennen/Vlad/Rumble all beat her because of MR/WotA and range, but I beast on Darius, and even did pretty well against a pre-fed Pantheon (level 1 engage turned into my 4 teammates dying, so Panth had a full level on me before lane started, then extra gold for his first buy. I died a few times and could've played better, but I did well for what I started with). Her lack of an ult kinda stinks, and I really wish Mantras came up faster, but she's so much fun.

On Blitz, I used to grab Tear for Manamune and max Power Fist for UBER DAMAGE, but it really didn't amount to much. Once I got good with grabs and knowing the limits of my AD, I don't even need the damage - reduced CD on grab is much more useful. I go faerie, 4ward 1pot - I don't plan on needing more than one pot, and extra wards in case we lane for a very long time. Philo, boots1, (optional HoG), Kindlegem, Glacial Shroud, boots5, core is done. Aegis sometimes, Frozen Heart/Force of Nature if necessary, Shurelya's when I have enough spare gold. I basically skip Sheen/TF all the time, much better to get ultra tanky so I can peel, initiate, chase, CC-bot.

I should say that Frozen Heart isn't even good because of the mana, you get like an extra 75. it's the extra armor and the AS debuff. Holy crap 20% AS debuff is huge. It's not just removing 20% bonus, it is 20% of enemies' total AD. so that 1.5as carry is now a 1.2as carry. and any other AA's like Udyr, Jax, Shyv, Irelia. FH is so good.

Actually this one bad week shows massive unprofessionalism on their end, as do the tons of other patches that they've massively dropped the ball on, be it through gamebreaking bugs, mass server issues, or godawful balancing.

1.Joyrock is right. With how big this thing has gotten, mistakes like this can't continue. Quite a few people have paid money to play this game and for it to crash for days at a time is unacceptable. Yes Joyrock is trolling but understand that he does have a point. Either ignore him or accept it.

2.Pantheon can beat Malphite before level 6. He never lets Malphite's passive go up. Ever. He throws a spear every 7 seconds. Then he builds Brutalizer. Then he builds Last Whisper. Eventually Malphite will just armor up beyond damage but if Pantheon manages an early snowball he can zone Malphite for a long time. If you're facing Malphite as Pantheon you need a specific runeset and mastery setup for Mana Regen.

(Malphite's greatest top lane strength is that it's the most gankable lane in the world at 6. one Q and you're done.)

3.Karma suffers against the same tops she loses to at mid. Funny enough she can shove Kennen all damn day and there's nothing he can do about it. He doesn't want to burn lightning rush to shove you back.


Karma's got RIDICULOUS base damages so your Runes should be: Magic Pen Reds, Armor Yellows(for top lane bruisers and because you'll be eating creep damage), Cooldown Blues/Quints. She scales off of Cooldown like a BOSS. When I run Top Lane Karma I go 9/0/21 to get all the cooldown possible for early game.

Karma craps on Darius so hard it isn't fair. He's like "aww yeah she's low time to ult...oh God that shield is huge" *ignite Q dead*

But after 2 days everyone acts like it is the end of the world and rather than do something else like a normal person and just wait for the issues to be fixed they spend hours on end complaining. I've been playing for a little over a year now, and this is the only patch where things went horribly wrong. Yeah, it stopped me from playing for two days, but I don't think Riot is the worst company on the planet for screwing up this time. Hell, any time.

While Riot really needs to get better with these server issues, I don't see the point in getting all entitled over it. The game could be down for a month straight and I wouldn't care, I'd just play other stuff.

On one hand, every time LOL drops I'm reminded of how sad and empty some people's lives are. LOL is the biggest part of their days. When they don't have it they can't function; it would be like if women collectively decided to not go out one night for the rest of us.

On the other, if you pay for a game you want to be able to play it. When I was playing FFXI, Square made sure to always keep things running perfectly because they knew people were paying for a product.

Obviously you've put money in it (or most people have anyway) but it's not something you're paying for monthly or daily or whatever. And they apologize by giving IP boosts and what not.
