Not much from the Konami conference. They teased Castlevania 3DS and showed Lords of Shadow 2 at the end, but otherwise, no new announcements.

I was hoping for a game more in line with Tomb Raider Anniversary. I thought this would be more about isolation, exploration, and survival against the elements. It sounded good based on that, but this is something else. Maybe they're just bad at making trailers, although the gameplay demo last year wasn't much better off. I'm sure it'll do well, though, it's very Uncharted. Most people these days probably don't realize Tomb Raider has had good games since the PS1.

The same way streaming any other games works. It's backward compatibility like PS1 and PS2 classics offer backward compatibility, though this might not require that you buy the games. PS+ could offer streaming like Netflix or something.

i was about to scoff at $50 a year for PS+ but i just realized I pay $8*12 for netflix and tell all my friends that it's such an amazing deal

though it is a lot easier to fit a couple of 20 minute episodes into your day than it is an hour or so of playing a game!

I think it'll go beyond old games, too. They could just as well offer other PS3 games along with it, though that might be a next-gen thing.

there are a few free games that would be neat, and i'm sure the discounts are technically a great value--but having those cheaper prices would ultimately make me spend even more money! i can resist the temptation to buy a game at $30, but if i see $20 in yellow, i'd be awfully tempted.

streaming PS2 games might convince me to jump on the PS+ wagon, but right now I don't think it's such a wise decision (for me).

Right now the most appealing thing about PS+ is cloud storage for saves, which I think should be free for everyone for save backups, especially considering that certain games don't let you store their saves via usb. I mean, I totally understand why it isn't free, but not having any reliable option to keep my files in the case of a dead PS3 makes me anxious for the day mine bites the dust.

PS2 streaming might be cool, but I still think the issue will be the games. It'll have the popular games like Final Fantasy and God of War, but I don't think we'll see a ton of PS2 games go up right away.
