Board 8 > Save My Anime and Visual Novel Character - Nominations Topic!!

Board's got a pretty strong anime loving community and tbh there's a fair number of VN fans around to boot.

So yeah here's another contest and hopefully more people than just Angelo nominate characters for this.


Nomination Rules:


1) You can nominate up to 15 characters
2) You can have 5 characters get a double nomination (Bold your nom in that case)
3) All characters must come from either Anime or VNs, though stuff like Light Novel adaptations or Manga adaptations work fine.
4) When nominating state which series or VN your character comes from
5) Any character with at least 2 nominations is auto in
6) Don't delete or edit any of your posts, if you want to make a nomination change just state it in a later post.
7) The number of characters in the contest will depend on the interest shown, but we're looking at around 100 characters here to start things off.
8) Nominations will close either when we hit 100 characters, or next sunday.

something doesn't have to be a 100% pure visual novel to be considered a visual novel, unless you're gonna contend stuff like Rance, Eien no Aselia, Symphonic Rain, Kamidori, Utawarerumono, etc also aren't visual novels because they have gameplay, often even more prevalent than PW's adventure segments

Kamidori's a SRPG. With a lot of bad h-scenes thrown in, but it's still a SRPG.

Kamidori is a VNSRPG. Visual Novel is an offshoot of the Adventure Game genre. Mixing game genres isn't a new thing.

I'm not objecting, really. (Nobody nommed any Kamidori characters. And anyway it's your call as host.) I don't understand why you'd classify Kamidori as a VN, though. It has plenty of plot scenes, but so do all SRPGs I've played.
