Oh he just doesn't care for the humor, tone, level of customization, or elements that make that game enjoyable and complains on the legitimate criticism of the controls for too long.

I got about halfway through the video before I had to turn it off.

Not because I didn't like the review, but because The Escapist website seems to have turned into a horrible, buggy, piece of crap since the last time I used it, and it decided to have an ad overlay in order to watch the video, and then wouldn't let me click out of the video when the exact same video started to play underneath the overlay. Jesus, get a better web designer.

The ads mandatory, the video is embedded in it. If you close the ad the video won't play, its dumb.

I remember he gave one game a no-strings-attached positive review, and then kicked of the very next review by saying that apparently he's not funny if he's being positive so he'll never do it again.

Also he gave Burnout Paradise, of all games, a not-negative review.

but yeah Escapist is total trash now, their layout is godawful and none of their video series are good anymore. Every once in a while they have a decent interview, that's about it

"... Yeah, it's pretty good", before cutting to credits right after. Then he comes back to bash it so the viewers like it.

There's nothing wrong with it, but when you look at the vast list of games he's reviewed, that is not a game that jumps out as "Well he couldn't hate that one, right?"
