Seasons 1-3 are absolutely top tier, but it gets a lot less interesting after that IMO. I haven't got past season 5 myself.

Watched the first two seasons, couldn't really get into it.

Everything I have heard tells me stopping was the right decision. And I kept up vaguely with what was happening and watched the finale.

Literally watched it for 6 years, the final 5 to make fun of it to its crazed stupid, sociopathic fanbase. Show absolutely sucks, writers clearly had no clue what they were doing and it shows. Now that it is over, will never watch another episode of it again, no reason to make fun of it to its fans anymore.

But seriously, Lost has a great first 4 seasons, with some weak parts, but the last two absolutely kill the whole show. Season 5 has its moments, but ultimately was a mess of hastily resolved and dropped plot threads. Season 6 starts with a lot of promise but manages to lose it all in the single biggest downward spiral ever seen in a TV show. The ending in particular is especially terrible, and "pulling a Lost" has now come to mean ruining your story with an ending that is just... awful. It really says a lot that the ending manages to make the entire season bad in retrospect.

So yeah, would recommend for the first four seasons. The Season 4 finale is a better conclusion than the actual last episode before its final scene, some hanging plot threads, but not nearly as many!

I will never understand the hate of the final episode. To me, it was a masterpiece, I cried multiple times during it, and when it was over I had such a sense of content-ness.

Prison Break, while overall somewhat mediocre, had a spectacular first season in my opinion.

I liked a lot about the ending of the show, and was ultimately content, though sadly the final season took it from one of the greatest shows I've watched to just a very good show.

The problem wasn't the ending, it was a lot of the stuff leading up to it.

I never got past season 3 of Lost except for a few random episodes here and there, but those three seasons were really good IMO.

The show as a whole was decent. I probably wouldn't rank it more than average overall, but I can't say I didn't enjoy my time watching it. It hit some nice notes with some of the mystery and events that occurred throughout the show. The time travel portion kind of disappointed me though as I pretty much got the vibe it was heavily toned down so that a greater number of people could feel like they understood things.

The ending was quite meh, but I suppose there are a number of factors that contributed to such *shrugs*

If I had to give a rough graph of my enjoyment of the show, it would be high near the beginning and trending downward with some spiking down the line. First few seasons built things up well, and there were some nice things in later seasons (I recall one exceptional episode with Desmond), but I guess you could say something was...lost.

A large part of LOST's value came from the community aspect of watching. Lunch the day after would be talking to people about theories from the latest episode. My physics prof was a big fan, so we'd get there before class and talk about stuff with him on Thursdays.

I can't imagine the show would be nearly as fun if you took that social element out.

I used to LOVE Lost, but now that I watched so many series I don't consider it one of my favorites anymore. It's a good achievement, one of the best broadcast dramas, but it definitely has its problems.

The most exciting thing about this show was definitely the journey
