the topic existed not that long ago on b8...

But the topics that show up lately tend to be intentional troll topics, or people who are convinced within the first 10 posts.

The thing that made the debates interesting in 2003 was that the arguers were actually using a valid, consistent axiomatic alternative to the real numbers. So every time someone posted a "proof", they would explain how this didn't work in their number system, with perfectly vaid logic for their axioms. And so people would throw more proofs their way, aaand repeat.

The one time I saw a version of the topic recently, the guy had no rebuttal for any of the proofs, and admitted 70 posts in to just trolling. Basically, didn't actually believe what he was arguing for.

Both sides in the freedom of speech arguments usually look bad. The UK people for actually defending what happens there, the US people for saying "Europe" has a terrible free speech policy, as if what transpires in the UK can be extrapolated to Europe.

Nobody ever brings the rest of Europe into those arguments.

This has literally never happened in any Jurassic Bark topic I have ever read.

The only think even remotely close to that comment I've ever seen was multiple people stating that they didn't think the episode was the saddest thing they'd ever seen and other episodes (Usually Luck of the Fryrish or Time Keeps on Slippin', unless the latter is just me projecting) are more emotional.

I think that's fair.

I've never seen this. I've seen people say that the ending is dumb because it's sad for no reason (which is true), but I've never seen it called one of the worst episodes.
