There's not really any more than that... I just wanted to make it sound more exciting. Sorries.

rychu_supadude posted... I admit that I haven't checked the top 50 in the other topic yet, but... what happened to my 5th nomination? That was the one I actually cared about!
All 100 songs are accounted for. You must have either just missed the cut or nominated something that was already nommed
Third Prize: 400x400 MS Paint pic of any Disney scene drawn by yours truly that I'm guaranteed to spend at least one hour on Second Prize: 700x700 Paint pic I'm guaranteed to spend at least two hours on Grand Prize: 1000x1000 pic I'll spend at least three hours working on
According to l-faqs the two you were ninja'd to were Hellfire and Be Prepared. With Hellfire you would have kept your #1 and won the grand prize with an average of 7% had DoctorBIind not beaten you to the punch. With Be Prepared instead, you would have slipped to 13.67% and only barely beaten Doctor, but wait he beat you to that too, lol. With both you would have got 10% still winning handily, but again Doc beat everyone to that punch. Heh! I guess going first is going best.
The Snubs Potential List
So... I've compiled a list of snubs that got shafted in the nomination process- mostly the stuff the lots of people were curious about and songs that just missed the cutoff point. The writeups for these will only be a sentence or two long each unless I've really got something to speak my mind on. And I won't be starting until tomorrow. Feel free to add suggestions if you'd like. They'll each be given mock rankings within the list. Yup.

Nominate: Belle - Reprise (Beauty and The Beast) So Close (Enchanted) That's How You Know (Enchanted) True Love's Kiss (Enchanted) Ever Ever After (Enchanted)
6.5) Arabian Nights From: Aladdin Nominated by: No one
Almost my favorite Disney opening, second only to Bells of Notre Dame. Seriously can't believe no one nominated this. So atmospheric! This ranking means I'd put it right smack dab in the middle if two other Aladdin songs- higher than Prince Ali, but lower than A Whole New World. Coincidentally those are my three favorite Aladdin songs!
50.5) Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo From: Cinderella Nominated by: No one
One of my favorite gibberish songs (if only for nostalgia), and consequently the only song of worth from Cinderella imo. I wish I had a fairy godmother! :'(
14.5) Busted From: Phineas and Ferb Nominated by: No one
Even SUPER BIAS for Vanessa and Candace singing my favorite P&F song together allow me to rank Busted over Colors of the Wind and others. Still though, this song is kick-ass.
37.5) Candle on the Water From: Pete's Dragon Nominated by: No one
Huh. Wasn't there an orchestral version somewhere? I think I like that one a little better. This one isn't bad though. It's got no nostalgia to boost it since I have never seen Pete's Dragon ever.
22.5) Chim Chim Cheree From: Mary Poppins Nominated by: No one
I think this might be my favorite song from Mary Poppins. I just love the way this sounds!
Sucks the actual version of Arabian Nights had to get edited. Unedited sounds a lot better flow wise... and really, come on Disney who cares about PC. Just a couple of years later you released a movie about that contained provocative dancing and lusting priestly types!

Eh. It might flow better, but I don't really like the "where they'll cut off you nose (ears?) if they don't like your face" line. It doesn't offend me, it just... iono.
The emphasis is lacking on the revision and "it's barbaric" kinda... I dunno, no longer fits the context. And yeah, it is ear. It was changed because it was deemed culturally insensitive (its an actual thing that happened). I still view it like the descendents of the Huns complaining over their portrayal in Mulan or something. History is history, the song wasn't really disparaging anyone.
Either way, the song should be a little longer. If it was, it would be the best Disney opening most likely (provided it was all good and such). I think Bells has that crown mostly because of how long it is and how epic it feels, it has ample time to set up the entire movie.
24.5) Come Little Children From: Hocus Pocus Nominated by: No one
<3 this. SJP hasn't looked this hot for... yeah I can't remember the last time she was "hot". Let's just say it was this movie. Short, but sweet and melodious. ^_^
38.5) Cruella de Vil From: 101 Dalmatians Nominated by: No one
Best song from the movie. Also the only oe I can remember. Were there even any others? Anyway, this is a classic, but there's too much talking going on over it. You know I've never realized before, but Roger is a pretty fun character.
22.75) Dave the Barbarian Intro Theme Nominated by: No one
Seriously, of all the Disney Channel original animated shows no one thought to nominate the objectively best one (okay, maybe The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is objectively slightly better)? I can't be the only one who enjoyed this intro, I just can't! Say what you will about the show, but the intro was boss.
(Note: The ranking 22.75 means I'd rank it lower than Chim Chim Cheree but higher than Poor Unfortunate Souls)
34.5) Fortune Favors the Brave From: Aida Nominated by: No one
This sounds great!
42.5) George of the Jungle Theme Nominated by: No one
Everybody always forgets this movie (perhaps that's for the best) but nevertheless, good song!
Roger actually is the only character worth much from the film besides Cruella. Not sure what makes Pongo so great or why he has the fans he does. And yes, DtB has a great intro. One of the best intro songs for Disney animated series period, actually. Aladdin obviously gets the nod at being the best since it uses a 'remix' of Arabian Nights but yeah.
40.5) A Girl Worth Fighting For From: Mulan Nominated by: No one
It's a charming song despite not being very well sang by all of its vocalists except for maybe Ping. Speaking of Ping, lol @ "his" idea of the ideal woman getting shot down.
41.5) The Gospel Truth From: Hercules Nominated by: No one
Nice way to open the movie, very unique. However not one of my favorites. Zero to Hero and I Won't Say still infinitely superior imo.
36.5) Hakuna Matata From: The Lion King Nominated by: No one
Whoa, the Hakuna Matata hate from the last topic! Worst song in the movie? Maybe, but that doesn't mean it's terrible. I rather like it. >_> Anyway, the song doesn't really kick in until Simba grows up, but once it does it's AWESOME! >=D
29.5) Heaven's Light From: The Hunchback of Notre Dame Nominated by: No one/DoctorBIind
Not sure if Doc thought I'd be counting Heaven's Light and Hellfire as one song, but for the record I didn't. Tom Hulce's voice is so soft and beautiful here. Still too much vibrato though!
45.5) He's a Tramp From: Lady and the Tramp Nominated by: No one
Oh my god the "There's No Place like Home" prelude to this is so sad! But then it's not, lol. The singer's voice here is so jazzy and soulful I can't help but love it.
50.5) Home From: Beauty and the Beast the Broadway Musical Nominated by: No one
I can't not here Megara in the beginning of this. Eh it sounds nice, but it's just not Belle.
19.5) I Just Can't Wait to Be King From: The Lion King Nominated by: No one
This is a childhood favorite here. All those colors!!!
27.5) It's a B-Movie From: The Brave Little Toaster Nominated by: No one
This actually sounded really, really good! Nice melody, and very nice harmonizing. Nothing in it is really jarring, like many things are in The Cutting Edge.
18.5) Look Through My Eyes From: Brother Bear Nominated by: No one
Wow, this is way better than I remember it, and I remember it being pretty goddamn good! Phil Collins rules.
65.5) Man or Muppet From: The Muppet Movie Nominated by: No one
Uh... yeah. Good call on Pictures in My Head, Mega Mana. It's not bad or anything, just kind of silly (I know it's supposed to be but still). This won an Oscar? Huh.
26.5)
...
69.5) A Most Befuddling Thing From: The Sword in the Stone Nominated by: No one
The first ranking is completely subjective based on how much I like the song and the imagery along with it. The second is a little more objective. This really isn't a very good song, however it features my absolute favorite auxiliary Disney characters ever: Girl Squirrel and Madame Squirrel. They are just so adorable and hilarious that they steal the song, the show- the whole damn movie!
9.5) Mother Knows Best Reprise From: Tangled Nominated by: No one
When I was listening to these songs right before I decided upon a final judgement, there was one I had to listen to five times in a row. Yes, if not for Hellfire this short but powerful reprise would be my favorite villain song. Donna Murphy is just so intimidating yet charming here. Gives me chills almost every time!
43.5) Once Upon a Dream From: Sleeping Beauty Nominated by: No one
It's really sweet, and yet it's also kind of creepy. Prince Phillip is a little too persistent and starts looking like a potential rapist at one point. This is one song I feel would be a lot better with different singers. Isn't Aurora supposed to have the gift of song? Hell, I think I sound better than her.
50.25) On My Way From: Brother Bear Nominated by: No one
Cute song in which Koda appears to be much less annoying and much more cute than he usually is. It kind of pales in comparison to Collins's other Disney songs, namely the ones from Tarzan, but it's still solid.
3.5) Part of Your World Reprise From: The Little Mermaid Nominated by: No one
Yes, I already mentioned I like the reprise slightly more than the original. It's that ending note with the waves crashing over the rocks that seals the deal.
Hopefully next contest I can have that smartphone ready and have my villainous crew put on a spectacular show. Gothel should have performed a bit better (as well as the other string of villains you people eliminated in a row there!)
Classic Disney stuff... people back then might have liked different voices than what we do today. I almost want to see some of the classic films remade today in a way. Some would probably call that heresy but if a film that has great intangilbles like Sleeping Beauty was remade by the people who made the renaissance films or even the newer animated films today I think it would be quite interesting. Maleficent for example, while great in her own media source, has stayed relevant and has grown through more recent endeavors like Kingdom Hearts.
