Saves are legitimate in the Japanese language, as well as shortened nicknames and such. I'm not sure why you make such a deal of this. The game is unreleased to me and since I was the one talking about it, that's all that mattered. What I was really saying, if I recall, was basically that I could not judge a character from a game I have not played (as it had not been released here). "Aw that's sweet of you" doesn't mean something is literally sweet-- even if you gave them a cake or something. When you get sour about something it doesn't mean you pucker up cause it overwhelmed your palate. I suspect it dates back to the time of yore when we lived in caves, and the scholars compared that the result of eating the great European Horsechestnut the neanderthals reacted similarly to being punched in the face. Thus they would say "wow, he sure got bitter about being punched in the face" Then they'd laugh and sip tea. -- No problem!
