Teemo craps on anyone that requires you to attack.

When I plan on playing Teemo I ban Riven Renekton.

But people like Vladimir get crapped on by Teemo with Wits End and Dorans Blades. Literally pooped on. Have fun healing with my DOT on.

Also Kayle's heal makes her even better top lane. I might put 2 points in it an just sustain like crazy.

this might not be everything, but a solid Atma's nerf along with solid Kayle, Teemo, and Orianna buffs isn't too bad. the rune changes make sense too; apparently lots of EU players would run MR runes on APs and frankly that makes a lot of sense, wish I had thought of it.

Atma's nerf is probably the biggest thing in this patch tbqh, even though the atmog's tanky dps meta has died down, this definitely kills it

The nerf also doesn't make sense to me. I'm not sure what they were targeting as the problem. Was it people getting it and having no HP and it still not being crazy dead weight or people getting it having a bajillion hp and it adding way too much damage?

Like if it's the former you'd think they'd up the combine cost and if it's the latter you'd think they'd nerf it like they did but give it some base damage stat. Pretty sure they were targeting the latter so yeah, overnerfed.

Yeah lol balancing is pretty lol. Only like 1/3 the champs (being generous) are viable at high level.

Understandable when you pump out a champ every 2 weeks but yeah. Would be nice if they had a clue.

Dr. Mundo was like most picked after Kog Maw.
Lee Sin was picked or banned often.
Cass, Ryze, Ahri, Morgana, Sion, Vlad were seen often.
Irelia and Shyvana I saw CLG run.
Maokai and Fiddlesticks were picked as well.

Forgot Kennen. He was definitely picked a lot too.

Uh, Riot doesn't nerf every champion that's considered good. That's counter productive.

People just realized that the nerfs didn't rob Nocturne of his strengths, they just toned them down. He's still a fantastic jungler. Other champions have made more miraculous turn-arounds in tiers. (See: Mundo)

And I'm fairly sure that there's only 5 totally unusable champs at any given time.

I'm not saying that 2/3 of the cast is straight up unusable-- I'm saying that 2/3 of the cast put you at a significant drawback straight out of champ select just by picking them. I don't really think it's so much a "this champ is op" as much as "this champ is much better at its role than other champs are at the same role." Support is the only role that they have anything close to a balance for.

They really need to look into mass buffing instead of nerfing more.

1. I used to make fun of Esports but I'm sitting here and taking back every bad thing I ever said. Live crowds are the best and make everything significantly better. This place is 80 percent Dyrus, 10 percent tsm, and everyone else.

4. Kog has always been this way. Always. Problem is how do you nerf a champ that has such a bad early game? Ashe went invisible because of this same thing. I guess you could need the W and buff stats or something.

5. CLG picks Vayne everytime against Kog because if anyone snowballs just as hard it's Vayne.

6. Sytha called it weeks ago: Olaf has to be nerfed. The Axe buff and ult change pushed him over the top. Who needs damage when your E is true damage and you have enough armor pen for 2 champs. They're gonna go overboard And Irelia him.

7. Mundo and Shyv are here to stay. If the enemy picks Shyv you can almost guarantee Mundo. They're too fast in the jungle. They do it with too much safety. They can start anywhere and counter jungle anyone but each other.

8. Doublelift MVP of the tourney so far. He's the best AD carry I've seen. Best positioning and the best farmer. He and Chauster are damn near psychic.

It was awesome. But I was against a Ziggs so it wasn't as fun as I wanted it to be.

What you forget is that you're not changing anything about the 5 champions that make them overpowered.

Or maybe every AD carry should have been buffed to match release Vayne.

Also for Kog, they could nerf his base damage on his ult but increase the AP ratio so AP kog isn't affected but it's not as potent for AD kog. Also decrease the amount that his W slows. That slow is huge.

My point is that champs aren't op for the most part, they just kinda make other champs obsolete. There are obviously exceptions like release Xin Zhao and etc etc but yeah. I don't think like, Kog Maw is op, it's just like... "we need an AD carry and he's just better than the other AD carries so let's use Kog" But relative to the best of the other roles, he's not op, ya know? So nerfing him just nerfs AD carries rather than fixing the core issue.

I'd hit some of his steroids a little bit. Like the Attack speed one. Maybe the Range one again but that could kill him. The AD carries seem kinda poorly balanced compared to everything else like Cait/Ez don't seem very good at the moment.

In fairness, their composition was sink or swim for every enemy involved.

For those of you who weren't watching, here's the deal.

Dignitas ran a comp of Kog'Maw on AD carry duty, Mundo in the jungle, and Lulu/Soraka in solo lanes and Kog having Janna (sometimes Taric) bot. They ran, like, 3 summoner heals. The idea was to eliminate Kog'Maw's biggest weakness entirely by turning him into an unkillable killing machine, Mundo dicked around in team fights, Janna reset any fights that weren't going right, Soraka negated pretty much all the damage, and Lulu was Lulu.

What do you do? You can't win team fights because you can't get in, and you're being ground up by Kog from a distance. Focus? Yeah right. Kog isn't dying, the supports minimally important, and Mundo is his usual self.

TSM did right by not letting Soraka or Lulu into any of their games.

People have that option and choose to stick to what they have practiced more and have accepted is the 'best' way.

But then the meta gets shaken up again because of something else.

I take the playerbase's view of balance with a grain of salt. Like just last month Ultimate MVC3 had a tournament where a team of bottom-tiers crapped all over everyone's cookie-cutter teams just by trying out a new strategy. Stuff like this happens all the time and no one ever seems to realize that the player consensus was just flat-out wrong.

With that said, sustain can go die in a fire.

Well actually I think the tanky dps jungle types might be op as a category. Lee Sin, Shyvanna, Shen, Nocturne (maybe a stretch on noct), etc.

But like I don't think nerfing Kog Maw and Graves is a good idea. They're good at what they do but they need to be good at what they do so it's not easy to just shut them down with supports/tanky dps too easily. Same thing with the good AP types.

Viewtiful Joe and Frank are both part of prominent East Coast line ups. (Dieminion and Noel Brown, respectively.)

RR was the odd man out because literally nobody plays him, so his status was unknown.

And not to sound like an ass or anything, but his strategy could be figured out by watching five minutes of his stuff. I have no idea why nobody was able to adapt.

Frank was seen as good. Joe has never been seen as good, and one or two people trying to make him work doesn't make up for that.

And they couldn't adapt because it was a solid strategy that they'd never seen before. You would have done no better, and likely worse.

With Rocket Raccoon and Viewtiful Joe? Nope. There's also the fact that stuff like abusing the scrolling screen isn't something that prior knowledge can really help you deal with.

Anyway what I'm trying to say is that the LoL fanbase is likely a lot less intelligent than they think they are, just like every competitive fanbase in existence.
