I like how I can look back in time with the Timeline too, but I don't like how my Facebook-friends can do the same with mine. I really wish there was a privacy-option for content on your account after a certain period of time (anything over a year old could be blocked in my ideal world, for example).

This. I mean sure, you could already do that; on a mission to like every single thing on one guy's wall I went all the way to 2007 when he initially signed up for Fb. But it just makes it way too easy now, and there's no point to it. Makes me feel like I need to delete everything going back. Memorable statuses were bad enough in regards to reminding people of stupid things said in like, sophomore year of high school that were thought to be witty and cool back then.

Yes. I'm glad I have all my old conversations with pretty much everyone in the last 4-5 years. Mafia chats are great, too.

The problem with Timeline is... that's IT'S NOT A ****ING LINE!

The old Facebook system is ALREADY a timeline. It has the topmost story, which represents the thing that happened most recently, and every post below it goes back a little bit more in time. THAT is a timeline.

"Timeline" has 2 columns, with posts split between both sides arbitrarily.... making it not a line.

I'm on my news feed 95% of the time, so I'm never even looking at the timeline, and when I am, the layout is the last thing I think about.
