The only real oddities are Chinatown Wars and FFIII, and both of those are good Just maybe not deserving. Especially not the latter considering its high placement and being the only FF on the list. Also a lot of people really, really like PH. I consider it one of the weakest Zeldas but it does have some pretty hardcore fans. Higher than Spirit Tracks though, that was baffling.

Well this was a public opinion list so you can hardly accuse them of marketing.

It's more a simple factor of recency. Most of the games on there are relatively recent. Those are the ones the public will think of when they vote.

There's no doubt that neither game comes anywhere close to the top 100 if you're including third-parties, I'm not questioning that.

But ST literally improved upon every single major problem that plagued PH, and then some. ST > PH is an immutable law of the universe, and an organisation that has enough good taste to include Little King's Story simply should not be making such statements. That's the sort of thing I would expect from lolGN or ScrewAttack, not these guys.

the only major improvement Spirit Tracks had was not having to go through the same dungeon multiple times

it negated that and then a ton more by having the train

Most FF games probably didn't get on there because ONM is British, and the games didn't come out in Europe until FFVII, which was the first one not to be released on a Nintendo console.

Well it's confusing because the PlayStation and Xbox american magazines are Official PlayStation Magazine and Official Xbox Magazine, whereas the Nintendo magazine for America is Nintendo Power.
