the core group is still fine, EA is just stretching the brand beyond its limits. it's unreasonable to expect six Bioware studios to be able to develop games at the same level of quality as the old Bioware games, especially when many of them are on such strict deadlines. ME3 needed probably another six months to work some things out, DA2 probably another year.

but that's really jumping the shark.

Arguing opinions on here got old seventeen centuries ago, but just for the record it's not terrible by any metric, plenty of people dig it (including myself).

Also dig ME3, though found the ending a bit of a miss, still a damn fine game.

Bioware is one of the best devs around.

Still hate the idea of Multiplayer affecting Singleplayer though.

It's just kind of a bonus option, if you do most of the side quests and fetch quests like your average RPG player the multiplayer raising the readiness rating doesn't matter.

I think it was determined that you have to make all the right choices for there to be enough War Assets to get the best ending.

8000 war assets cannot be obtained in a pure paragon playthrough though.

Not at all!

I'll give you that DA2 is their worst major game(I don't know much about their history so they could have some hidden gem of badness like Blizzard does), but it's not terrible by any means, and nothing I would call a strike against them.

I actually enjoyed DA2 more than DA:O.

DA:O was great on it's first playthrough, but trying to play through it again was just painful. So many points the game just seemed to drag (Fade, Deep Roads, etc.).

DA2 adapted some things from ME which I approve of and some things I didn't. Fully voiced Hawke was great (snarky option best), make the gameplay less about tactics and more visceral (rogue best). It also took the copy/paste dungeon design of the first ME and the more character driven approach of ME2 rather than a focus on a primary antagonist and storyline.

I get why people prefer DA:O to DA2, but I still think DA2 was a good game and I think I prefer it's style over DA:O. If it dropped the copy-paste dungeons and puts together a better central storyline in the third game I'll be very pleased.

DA2 is a pretty good game.

Haven't finished ME3 yet. Im aware the ending is supposed to be horrible. Its still a fantastic game already in what has been a fantastic trilogy.

DA2 is pretty fun and a decent game overall if you don't compare it to DA:O. It's by no means a bad game, anyways.

I'd never replay it like the 3 or so times I've replayed DA:O, but yeah, it was good the first time through!
