Just press forward and HP/HK while in the middle of a block. It's easiest with that one move of Rolento's since it lasts so long. You'll do an EX move on them.

ah I see. I figured it was an on reaction thing, so I was treating it like a 3S parry and timing it that way. thanks for the heads up, will put that to use.

How negative is this initial response compared to the recent biggies like U/MvC3 and S/SF4?

no one really bought UMvC3 and based on week 1 sales, it looks like a lot of people didn't buy SFxT as well. of the people who did buy SFxT, I'd described the reaction as lukewarm/mixed, though a lot of people are upset about the DLC and lack of being able to take your buddy online in XBL.

my impression is that no one but hardcore 3S/CvS2/Marvel 2 players really hated SF4 on release. maybe someone can correct me if I'm mistaken. but I believe it was really successful on launch, every update has sold well, and it consistently has a lot of players. people who really dislike SF4 are in the vocal minority I think.

I think my biggest problem in this game is that everyone blocks all of my moves. EVERYONE. I can't get anything in! How do I stop that?

Hugo's elbow attack is an overhead. I don't remember which button it is though, but it's actually pretty effective.

so far, people that have a lot of points in this game only have a lot of points because they're playing kazuya or heihachi and abusing their mids.

cammy might be really good, but i still haven't figured her out yet. 3f jabs are a big deal though.

SCV is great...but no one plays it.

The balance patch seems really premature, though. The game's only been out a month and a half, and they're already messing with the entire cast. There isn't even anything particularly gross or broken that needs to be adjusted. Eek.
