So are the map packs worth getting? Like I couldn't imagine buying map packs for Civ IV, but is Civ V's random map generator any good? Or are the map packs just a lot more interesting than random maps in some way?

Bought Korea, Spain, Incas, and Denmark, and the bundled Wonders/Map packs. Haven't actually played any non-randomly created maps like these before; guess the fact that I paid 50 cents will have to be the motivation.

I'm torn on this. On one hand, Civ's been a series I've had an interest in, but have never played. On the other, my laptop barely meets the minimum specs. Maybe I should just hit Civ IV GOTY edition. Thoughts?

Anyway, I bought all the loose civs, along with sometimes whatever was bundled with it. I say whatever to map packs.
