Good game but you should be wary that you can have some technical issues with it if you're running windows 7.
I needed to download an old version of something before I could play it. (And of course now another game updated that thing.)

It's not my favorite of the generation either, but it's probably the most ambitious triple A title of the past five years. And when it gets it right, it is so, so good. It's a shame any possible sequel is stuck in limbo =\

I remember reading about a dev hinting at a new sequel possibly being worked on with the Frostbite 2 engine. I'll see if I can find a link.

From the reviews I've read (two on GameFAQs, IGN, and GamSpot), it looks like its combat and trial-and-error gameplay are what fall short. I could see weakness in the combat, but I love Super Meat Boy so trial-and-error isn't inherently bad to me. One review also insinuated its first twenty minutes were its best twenty minutes...so if the demo's featured gameplay was very enjoyable to me, is there much of a dip in quality afterward, or is that being exaggerated?

Any other flaws worth mentioning?

Oops, completely missed the 'flaws' part of your post!

Biggest thing was definitely the combat parts. If you use guns I'd imagine they aren't nearly as bad, but when going for the "don't shoot anyone" achievement they can be pretty annoying at times.
