Alright caught up on Nise. I enjoyed that a lot more than I was at first. There's still not much to take away from it but it still manages to be really entertaining.
*starts talking about fanservice scenes that aired a month ago*
Also, Tsubasa's new design is like infinitely better than her old one. I mean god damn. That god awful ED. Why do people like Claris anyway, their songs are so overproduced and terrible sounding. They're literally the Justin Bieber of anime except not ironically hilarious. Well, at least it's better than the OreImo OP. Actually I don't know about that, I'll have to think next time before making such a strong statement.

Huh, do they always have testers for updated patches? I mean I would assume this would work fine since it's only a translation patch and it's an updated version of one.
guess i'm due for some more stuff that i've been lazy on posting. especially as there's more NEW stuff. the good stuff will have to wait until i'm home so i can properly youtube the songs (it's been long enough, if it ain't on youtube by now somebody messed up).
Another ED: anamnesis 2/2 split. anamnesis -....this song sounds like it came out of Guilty Crown. O_o this is a compliment, but confuses me nonetheless. looked up the singer, Annabel, to find out that she did the ED for CANAAN and the 9th ED for Katanagatari. so apparently i've heard her sing before, just not often. as for the song it's... just really slow paced, steady. Nothing really special great on it but it's very soothing to hear. thing is i completely didn't care for that kind of 'soothing' so it ends up being dead middle. 5/10 closed world -style change. soft song to something more rockish. fairly enjoyable too. special? not really. 6/10

Amagami SS+ ED: Kokuhakuj 1st ED of the show. 3 songs, 1 instrumental. Unusual! anime only has used 1 ED thus far. Disappointing!
Kokuhaku -Slowly sway to the beat. Take a nap because it's borderline a lullaby. Wake up thinking to yourself, 'hey wait a sec. This one actually wasn't that great!' 'cause it's not. it's not really something I'd call good, just a passable tune that you *can* listen to, but won't make you care about it in the least. 5/10 Anata no Tame ni -Now this one's more like it. Instead of the usual 'the ED is good, the other's mediocre' we get treated to 'the ED is mediocre, the other's good.' 7/10 Rainco Rainbow -and instead of the typical 2 songs, 1 instrumental, 1 drama cd esqued track we've got 3 songs. this one's clearly not a style she's used to doing much and that ain't a bad thing because it's not a good song either. 4/ 10.

Papa Koto OP: Happy Girls 2/2 split.
Happy Girl -first off i already knew that this was going to be like the ED was in that i am going to like this for more right than it should deserve. then again i kinda enjoy this song already, despite its stupid engrish of HAPPY HAPPY GIRL! HAPPY HAPPY GIRL! ...thankfully though this isn't as good as the ED. i kinda like it, it's certainly something that on the occasion i might want to hear for some bizarre reason, but it's not something i'd go for a lot. certainly listenable. but nothing to write home about. and though it followed pop conventions, the bridge wasn't all that, so this (mercifully) gets a 6/10. Kokoro no Rhythm -this is a pretty normal jpop song actually. if it wasn't on this album i'd never be able to tell that it came from Papa Koto. i like it. it's better than happy girl, but still isn't enough to break into the 'this is good stuff' tier. 6.5/10

Catching up on Another now. Does this remind anyone else of School Days? In that it's hilarious and just sort of a mess. Not as entertaining as SD but still pretty amazing.
Hm... I knew my timing of deciding to watch Eureka 7 was right. Now I don't have to cram it before Ao comes. And at least I won't die waiting for Fate/Zero S2.
But now, time to randomly set aside FMA: Brotherhood and actually take a look at a few of last season's ones. Specifically Brave 10. Dunno why, just feel like dropping on that one.

Milky Holmes 2 ED: Lovely Girls Anthem 2/2 split.
Lovely Girls Anthem - much like Papa Koto i expect these two songs to not be terrible but moderately enjoyable if not very enjoyable (oh god please no). unlike Papa Koto the OP isn't as catchy. ended up being nothing but fairly enjoyable background noise to me. not painful, not good. 5/10. Merry-go-round - this is catchier. not sure if i'd say it's *better* though. ...actually re-listening to Lovely Girls Anthem, it's... not. it starts fine and then... stops being fine, drags on too long, and gets dull. 4/10. Lovely Girls Anthem instrumental - normally i don't bother with these unless they're really good or something stands out worth mentioning. this is neither, it's about the same as the original. just N/A this. Merry-go-round instrumental - this is the reason instrumental review happened here. while the vocal version is kinda lame, the instrumental is actually *good*. like, i have absolutely zero problem seeing this in Sonic and it'd be GOOD Sonic music. seriously, this is worth a listen to and is the single best track on the album. it gets better as the song progresses too! this needs to be in some VG somewhere. 7.5/10. (yes, almost twice as good. that's embarrassing. i think i have to upload this one with a throwaway youtube account...)

Shakugan no Shana 3 OP 2: Serment aw yeah, Mami Kawada doing Shana songs. S wasn't that good of an OP but they typically have been pretty great. she's one of my favorites from I've Sound and very, very underrated. she was part of Hearing Leaf (an I've Sound mini-group that nobody knows because they only did obscure songs) who sang what's probably my 3rd fave song period. she also did Chi ni Kaeru (a lesser known I've song), Masterpiece (2nd Index OP), No buts! (another Index OP) and a couple other things like Hayate's OP. basically Shana and Index have been her main go-tos. as for this single.... 2/2 split. 'k.
Serment - this is the OP (haven't gotten to it yet in the series though, ugh). and yes, it's great. it's less active than her Index stuff (which, while Masterpiece was phenomenal, it threw a kitchen sink somewhere in its mess for no reason at all) and is better paced with a larger focus on her voice. good because she's got a damn fine one. 9/10.
u/n - ....well then. instead of a lesser quality one this song has every reason to be used as an OP, Insert, or ED somewhere. this has every bit of the same quality that Serment had and is a better song with more energy no less. 10/10.
unsurprisingly, both instrumentals are awesome.
Average: 9.5/10 (was there a doubt i was getting this. these 4 songs are part of my daily listenings right now.)
