Board 8 > B8 Artists(+non-artists): Any interest in a "B8 Draws" series of topics?

This idea came up in ngirl's topic ( http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/8-gamefaqs-contests/61978058 ) I think frog brought it up first.

Basically every once in a while (maybe a new topic every 3 days) there is a new topic with a new subject to draw, then anyone who wants to draws their interpretation of that subject. So pretty much exactly what ngirl's topic turned into just on a regular basis.
Good way to get past a drawing block and keep yourself drawing on a semi-regular basis.
For subjects to draw we could just have people post suggestions in the topics and we'll use them as we go along.

If we wanted to get fancy and competitive with it we could have voting for best drawing of the previous subject, most unique, etc etc, or we could just keep it nice and simple.
If there was interest I could throw together some sort of 'group album' on imgCake that would allow anyone in that group to upload images to it. That way we could also have a nice easy place to look through everyone's drawings.


So, any interest in this? Also post some subject ideas if you are interested!

well if you make it competitive it's more likely to stifle interest from new artists (since when they see the topic they'll see a bunch of established artists drawing in all of the topics and assume that they can't just join out of the blue, or be less likely to submit their drawings if they don't want them to be critiqued and compared to people like fr0q)

and I also have 0 interest in competing with anyone, although I have a lot of interest in just drawing for fun

I'm not good at drawing but if it's not a competition I'd be down because it would be fun to take a funny approach rather than an artistic one, since I can do funny/clever when it comes to drawing

Anyway, I'd get behind this. I could use some motivation.
And I agree that it shouldn't be totally competition driven. Board 8 is competitive enough as it is. I think this would be good for people who just love to draw/sprite/whatever just for the fun of it. (Plus, the people who want advice could always just ask for some constructive criticism.)

And like Pun said, maybe once a week, because some of us are busy and can't participate every couple of days.
