It's originally in Indonesian, but I'll try to translate it as accurately as possible. Admittedly, this riddle isn't perfect as the main character is too lenient, but hey, at least it's something that can occupy you for a few minutes (or more!).

"There was a white-collar worker in America who had a Honda Jazz he had had since college. One day, he brought the car to a party. He asked for a valet to park his car in the basement area. A few moments after the valet parked his car, he returned the car keys.

At the party, he unexpectedly met his old friend from college and talked with him. His friend wanted to borrow his car keys to get something he had left in the car from when he had hidden it back in college. After a while, he returned with the car keys and returned it. The item he retrieved was an underwear which he said was hidden under the backseat.

A couple minutes later, a security guard came to him and asked whether or not he was the owner of the Honda Jazz was parked in the basement, as its security alarm had been going off. The security guard asked to borrow the keys to turn off the alarm. Moments later, the guard came back and returned his keys and said that the alarm had been turned off.

Not long after that, there was another problem, as a stranger - another party guest - approached him and said, "Excuse me, are you the owner of the Honda Jazz with the plate number ****? Your car obstructed my car's way out, would you please move it?"

The man answered, "Sorry, but I can't leave the party right now, as I'm talking to my old friend from college here. Could you please move my car yourself? Here's the keys." A few more minutes passed, and the stranger returned with the keys.

After the party ended, this man went to the parking area in the basement. As it turned out, he was the last one to leave the party, and he was shocked when he saw that the basement was empty without any car in sight. He went to the security post and told the attending guard about it and asked for help to look for his car. This security guard, however, wasn't the same one with the one who borrowed his car, as he had finished his shift and went home. The valet who parked his car was called and gave the testimony that the car had been parked in the basement.

After looking everywhere in the radius of 5km from the party's venue, even with the help of the police called, they found nothing. They came to the conclusion that the car had gone, even with the keys (it was later tested by Honda and it was found that they were indeed the real keys to his car and not duplicates) still in the owner's hands.

Your objectives are to solve who did it, what was the trick used to move the car further than 5km without the keys, and at least one concrete, physical evidence. In this mystery, however, you can ignore the heart. No need to look for the motive."

So yeah, any idea? I haven't been able to solve it, although I wonder whether or not the setting being in America is relevant to the mystery. My current theory is that the old friend and the guest were accomplices. When the friend borrowed the keys, he opened the car and returned fake keys (as he was the only one who would be able to know how the keys looked like). He then gave the keys to the party guest, who made his way to the basement.

But before he could drive away, the alarm went off. He saw the security guard seeing it, and he waited for the security guard to borrow the fake keys and then timed to push the keys to turn off the alarm the same time as the guard to prevent him from suspecting anything.
After the guard walked away, he went in the car and drove it away. After it was far enough, he returned to the party and asked to borrow the fake keys to swap them with the real ones.

valet gave fake keys, made copy which he gave to friend who returned them. The valet set off the alarm and parked like that purposefully in order to trigger suspicion of those two, remove suspicion from him.

Because as far as I can tell, that was the longest time period except at the end which was the valet simply driving off.

The thing that's odd about this is that the last borrower, the man claiming to be parked in, gave the exact license number of the car. One would assume that the man knows his own license plate number. It's possible the tag could have gotten moved onto another car, but then that last stranger also didn't complain that the keys didn't work when he returned them or that the car had mysteriously vanished. So we have to assume that the stranger was in on the event. He wouldn't have asked for keys to a car that wasn't there. At the very least, we assume that the theft took place at some point no earlier than when the car was obstructing the dude's view.

I'm also assuming that the owner would have been told if his car had been towed, and that the car being dismantled is not a possibility.

Quite frankly everyone of them is a little suspicious except for the security guard.

Why did the valet park the car in a way that it was blocking another patron's exit?

Why did the friend not mention a car alarm to his college buddy? Also the friend has obviously driven the car before and got a little intimate in it.

Why did the stranger not have the valet pick his car up like everyone else was doing?

I don't like the key duplicate theory as it is kind of a cop out answer to an involved riddle. But there's only so many ways a car without keys can move away that far. Towing is the more likely solution. And because he's the least suspicious, I'll go with the security guard.

Nothing concrete though.

Then here's the original, Indonesian version of the text. Natwaf can point out if I made any big mistake in the translation:

Did they not bother contacting the security guy that went home? And of course, what the hell @ lending keys willy-nilly.

Only physical evidence I can think of is the car key. Or maybe the underwear.

I wonder if the model of the car is relevant. Looking up the Fit/Jazz on Wikipedia, there were three recalls in the last two years, so if the guy had the car since college he may not have had these issues resolved on his. Still, they were for window switches that could catch fire, headlights that could fail, and engines that could stall. I don't see how any of them could facilitate theft.

Anyway the way I see it, the friend and the stranger could have been in on it. When the friend went into the car, he could have let someone else in. That guy could have tried to hotwire the car and set off the alarm, which the guard turned off. Then the stranger was just making up a story about the car blocking him in so the guy would believe his car was still there at that point. Not a very good solution but that's all I could come up with.

It's kind of weird that the valet gave the guy the keys back to be honest. Every valet parking service I've ever used holds onto your key and gives you a ticket you bring back to get your car & keys back. They do this in case the car needs to be moved because of tight space in the parking area as happened in this story, as well as to ensure that you'll pay for the parking if it's not free. And, I guess, to not keep you waiting while they park it and bring the keys back.

This story is rather humorous.

You have an old college friend who apparently really wanted his old pair of underwear back, a main character who obviously doesn't give a s*** about car security (may as well just keep the car unlocked if he's going to keep giving the keys away), the main character is rude as hell (stranger says he is blocked in and the main character responds with an equivalent response of, "hey, can't you see I'm talking here?"), and the brilliant detective work of the police.

I love it.

Obviously not a one man job.

This security guard, however, wasn't the same one with the one who borrowed his car, as he had finished his shift and went home.

This line sparked my interest. It means that the security guard could've switched the car keys, drove home (or outside the 5 mile range) gave the right keys to the stranger who switched them back under the pretence of having his car (how the stranger got to the party) blocked.
Which, btw, is a bit strange since there are valets doing the parking. (Although not a dealbreaker.)

One issue I'm having that puts a damper on most of my solutions is:

From: Raka_Putra | #001
Your car obstructed my car's way out, would you please move it?

The stranger intended for the main character to come down to the garage. And then the strange man was only gone for a few minutes.

In any effect the only solution I can come up with has to be some variation of the following.

Stranger and friend roll up to the party together. They have a plan.

Friend thinks he can get the keys from the main character. He succeeds and goes down to the car. He intends on unlocking it for the stranger who has some kickass hot-wiring ability. After unlocking the car, he pulls off his own underwear to not arouse suspicion. The moron accidentally gets the car locked again somehow. Maybe it has to do with the model of the car.

Stranger goes down to open the door of the supposedly unlocked car. He sets off the alarm because the dumbass friend didn't do it right. Cop hears alarm and turns it off after getting the key from the main character.

Stranger says "f*** it" and thinks he can get the keys from the main character because everyone else seems to be able to. Stranger gets keys, unlocks door, and is not a moron. Door stays unlocked. Stranger then gives the keys back, walks downstairs, hotwires the car, and drives away.

Profit.

Oh, I'll just read and post the solution here after all.

Here's the solution in Indonesian:
http://tinyurl.com/8366ev8

...well, that was quite something. I think I like the riddle better than the solution. So many clues for the solution weren't represented in the story.

"1) The valet was genuine, he wasn't involved in this crime.
2) When the old friend borrowed his keys, he drove the car to an accomplice's house who also had his own Honda Jazz. Then he returned with the accomplice's Honda Jazz and returned Honda Jazz #2's keys to the main character.
3) At this point, the car in the basement wasn't the main character's, but rather the accomplice's. Meanwhile, the Honda Jazz #1's keys were being duplicated by the accomplice, as they planned to return the original keys and to use the duplicates to use the car.
4) They set it so the alarm would go off on purpose, therefore the security guard would borrow the HJ#2's keys, making the main character believe his car was still in the basement. This way, the time when the crime happened would be falsified, to throw suspicion off from the old friend.
When the guard turned off the alarm, it wasn't the main character's car.
5) When the old friend returned to the party after dropping off the main character's car, he also brought another accomplice with him. This one was the man who claimed to be another party guest. He borrowed his own keys, drove back to accomplice #1's place, and exchanged them with the real keys, as they had been successfully duplicated.

Physical evidence: If forensics were brought in, they would be able to immediately determine whether the underwear had been left in the car since college or it was just taken off/newly bought."

As stupid as this whole solution is, this is the stupidest part.

Actually I take that back. The stupidest part is that somehow this friend he hasn't seen since college knows he'll be there that night with the Honda Jazz.
