V-Mart in a year probably. It doesn't make sense if you think V Mart coming back in a year is someone you'd want to rely on for two years such that you'd pass on Prince.

Miggy at 3B this year is a hard pill to swallow since we're still stuck with Inge for this season.

On one hand, getting an extra bat into the lineup at DH (Don Kelly, for example) is an offensive improvement over Inge. Not a huge improvement, but an improvement. And it's the logical way to fit Miggy, V-Mart, and Prince into the lineup all at once in 2013/2014, so Miggy may as well get comfortable there. And if Prince is gonna be the everyday 1B, I'd rather not just take Miggy out of the field entirely for a whole season just to put him back out in the field next year.

On the other hand, I think we're a better team overall with Miggy@DH/Inge@3B than we are with Miggy@3B/Kelly@DH. The upgrade defensively at 3B from Miggy to Inge is greater than the upgrade at the plate from Inge to Kelly.

EDIT: Well I suppose if Miggy was at 3B, Delmon would be DH instead of LF and Kelly would play LF instead, but the point is still valid.
