My local Hastings carries video game figures and they used to have a bunch of FF ones. No one bought them, they went on like double clearance and I picked up a Sephiroth figure and a Balthier figure for a couple of bucks each.

Then they got a Lightning, Snow and Fang figure, and even though I obviously hadn't played the game at the time, the figures looked cool. they were like 50 bucks. I wasn't gonna buy them anyways, even if the full price was 20 instead, but I was hoping the same thing would happen, them goin on clearance. but someone bought all of them

at full price

its just something about them!

update

We fought some winged monster and found us a ship!

meanwhile, Snow was discovered by the Psicom, and after getting his ass kicked, Shiva pops out of nowhere and saves the day

after being tested, they join me!

but Snow collapses in the mean time. Fang retrieves Snow and Serah.

and back with our heroes, they make an escape and lots of flashy ship action happens before they crash

they wake up and Palmer and Vanille get separated from Lightning and Hope. I guess this is the game's way to force Hope into your party again

And I always had enough to max out my Crystarium for whatever chapter I was in.

And yea I'm enjoying this game so far
The maps are fine too
It has enough forks in the roads and other paths to keep it boring
as well as talking parts
The game wants to tell a story and develop characters and there arent any big empty maps and towns inbetween to create filler to get in the way

Most of the little items you get are intended to be used for leveling up weapons, which you don't have access to yet.

When you find something that's intended to be sold for money, it will say so in the description.

If you use organic materials, it builds up multipliers that increase the amount of experience you get using inorganic materials.

Well, it works with any material, but it's pointless since organic materials don't give much EXP.

Basically, use enough organic materials to give yourself a x3 EXP multiplier, and then throw a ton of inorganic material onto it.

Nearly any weapon you find will be weak on its own. The only way to get really good weapons is through upgrades.

If you want to know which weapons upgrade to the best stuff, there's always FAQs for that.

Lightning and Hope set up camp for the night and then I get control of Palmer and Vanille

Uh, this is a strange area. I mean, It has Jazz music playing and its like a mining area. I seriously thought we went into a town at first

so we progress and they set up camp as well

cut back to SNOW and he meets the Cid of the game. They're gonna publicly execute the party

Snow has another flash back and WHOA, I got to run through a small portion of a town
I'm actually missing towns. I mean, I'm not one of those guys thats like BLARGH I WANT EXPLORATION AND TALKING TO PEOPLE AND INNS AND SHOPS and stuff, but it would be a nice change of pace from all those dungeon crawling
if I can even call it dungeon crawling

anyways, I'm now on disc 2!

cut back to lightning and hope, where they've infiltrated a fortress or something
