You know what would be a cool angle to do, is have Teddy Long try to bring back the New Talent Relations program but with previous superstars. Like have a bunch of guys come in for one time apperances but it backfires because they stick around and try to take over the show. It'd be like a Nexus kind of thing but with previous midcard guys.

I'd start off with MVP and make it seem like he's the main guy
then bring in WGTT (or just Shelton) and then Morrison and Chris Masters.

And then if it was actually possible have Kennedy come in and be the real head of the stable

and have the super swerve and have LESNAR come back and be the real head of the stable

From ROH's Newswire:

- Ring of Honor officials held a meeting at the ROH headquarters yesterday and discussed and confirmed many things going into 2012. Officials discussed all three ROH Championships in depth including the upcoming title challengers and the location of these championship bouts. As announced today, ROH Television Champion Jay Lethal will challenge for the ROH World Championship against Davey Richards on 1/20 in Philadelphia. “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin was originally slated for this spot due to winning “Survival of the Fittest 2011,” however Truth Martini used his managerial stroke to persuade officials to hold off on Elgin’s championship match. Also discussed was the ROH World Championship status of both Roderick Strong and Eddie Edwards as we enter 2012. It has been determined that both men will have to get a few more credible wins before they are offered another World Championship opportunity.

- The ROH Television Championship was discussed by officials and it has been determined that the title will only be defended on television and iPPV. This has been the unwritten rule for sometime but officials have now confirmed this regulation with proper documentation. Do not expect the TV title to be defended at live events taped exclusively for DVD. With that said, ROH officials are looking at signing Roderick Strong to a ROH TV title match soon. Strong survived the Proving Ground at “Glory by Honor X” when he battled Jay Lethal to a time limit draw.

Going through the Chris Jericho DVD still, and holy hell.

It made me realize how much I miss the APA. Such a badass team, and the fact that they were basically just the baddest mother f***ers around, and people would constantly hire them to ensure that no shenanigans go on in their match was awesome.

Eh, I can only think of 2 Benoit matches that should realistically be on there.

Jericho vs. Benoit--2001 Royal Rumble, ladder match
Benoit/Jericho vs. Austin/Triple H, May 2001 Raw

Yeah, their matches in 2000 were very good, but they'd be borderline inclusions anyway.

The fact that the Last Man Standing match vs. Triple H isn't on there is the biggest injustice anyway.

How do current premium channels like HBO and Showtime deal with that sort of thing? Are you allowed to subscribe just for one month and then cancel without penalty? Or is there something akin to like a cell phone contract where you're locked in for the first 3 months or something, even if you cancel?

I imagine that early on, there will be tons of it, with that amount dwindling over time as they produce a lot of tangentially-wrestling-related (or not-wrestling-related-at-all) programming whose reruns can fill airtime.

Not exactly the same, but NFL Redzone on U-Verse requires you to buy a tier, and its $5 bucks a month, but I'm pretty sure you have to have it for a year, so you can't just cancel after NFL season is over

It's up to your provider how that works, actually. I have Dish network, I believe they don't charge you anything unless you cancel within the first three months, and $5 if you cancel beforehand.

What are you talking about, they have LEGENDS HOUSE haven't you seen the commercial? <___<

I don't think it'll meet their publicly stated expectations, but if they put 9 ex-PPVs per year on there, I think it'll grab tons of wrestling fans right out of the gate.

2.5 Million people will watch Raw every week no matter what.
200K people buy every PPV no matter what.

A lot of the 2.3 Million people in-between say that the reason they don't legally watch many PPVs is because the prices are too high. If those people are telling the truth, slashing those prices by 87% should drum up a lot of interest, even if you're only buying the Network to watch PPVs.

But according to reports, they ARE doing it. As of now it's in the plans, according to reports, starting with Extreme Rules, to put everything except the Big Four on the Network.

The $7 fee for the Network itself is made up by me based on the old poll WWE sent out about it, but whatever the price is surely it won't be obscene.

Anyway, haven't we already been talking about how TNA would be better off doing only 4 PPVs a year and putting the rest of their "PPVs" on Spike as limited-commercial supershows? The goal there was to grow the product so that eventually they can get back to putting more on PPV and make even more profit.

Same difference here, except that instead of trying to "grow the product," they're trying to "grow the Network."

Jakyl's 2011 PPV/iPPV Rankings
(List includes WWE, TNA, ROH, and CHIKARA. I will add DGUSA to my mix sometime in 2012 but for now I'm ignorant of it)

1.) WWE Money in the Bank
2.) ROH Honor Takes Center Stage Night One
3.) ROH Best In the World
4.) WWE Extreme Rules
5.) WWE Elimination Chamber
6.) CHIKARA High Noon
7.) ROH 9th Anniversary Show
8.) TNA Destination X
9.) WWE Summerslam
10.) ROH Honor Takes Center Stage Night Two
11.) TNA Against All Odds
12.) WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs
13.) TNA Genesis
14.) ROH Final Battle
15.) WWE Capitol Punishment
16.) WWE Royal Rumble
17.) TNA Slammiversary
18.) WWE Survivor Series
19.) TNA Final Resolution
20.) WWE Wrestlemania XXVII
21.) ROH Death Before Dishonor IX
22.) WWE Over the Limit
23.) WWE Hell in a Cell
24.) TNA No Surrender
25.) TNA Lockdown
26.) WWE Vengeance
27.) TNA Turning Point
28.) TNA Bound For Glory
29.) TNA Hardcore Justice
30.) WWE Night of Champions
31.) TNA Sacrifice
32.) TNA Victory Road

The Top Ten are all outstanding events.
11-20 are all good, but flawed, shows.
21-25 are all mediocre shows with some redeeming quality
26-31 are just poor events.
32 is in the running for worst PPV ever.

Kinda weird how neatly those delineations worked out.
