I like how PS3, 360 and PC would've had 3 of the same GotY options if Skyrim PS3 wasn't full of enough problems to make people rage about it. They could've removed one of them to make room for Uncharted 3 or something.

I can't. Kevin V aside...listening to their pods etc...Skyrim was a far more popular game. BAck in 09 DS was a critic fav with them, DS is obviously a great game but i think Skyrim Takes this.

Yeah, some of the omissions are interesting.
Like, they have Uncharted 3 as an option for action game of the year...but not for PS3 game of the year (where they mostly list multiplatform games like Outland, Dirt 3, Portal 2, Batman AC).
Not that they're necessarily wrong, they might be right, but it doesn't really match the way I think--if someone asks me for the best PS3 game this year, I'm probably not going to name a multiplat racing game or multiplat XBLA game. My mind is going to jump to the exclusives, every time.

SS doesn't deserve Wii GOTY. And considering their MC averages are almost the same it's not inconceivable to think that either. Even if SS got a higher score, Xenoblade would have gotten the nod over it i think. The debate wasif Xenoblade was eligible because it only came out in PAL territories.
I was listening to the Xenoblade soundtrack again today for no reason
made me fall in love with the game all over again. So glad I never actually beat the game in my initial run and only made it up to right before Prison Island. When it comes out in April I can experience the first half all over again and have the second half still be brand new content
That list is the biggest joke of 2011. I though IGN was bad, but daaaamn this is horrible. Uncharted 3, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Infamous 2 arent even nominated for best PS3 game but dirt and outland are? what a joke.
While none of our five nominees for the Best PlayStation 3 Game award were exclusive to the platform, it's worth noting that both Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 weren't eliminated easily. The final five were decided upon only after lengthy discussion. While one or two of the included games might surprise you, it's perhaps one or two of the games that were omitted (in addition to those already mentioned) that will spark the most debate.
We understand the point of view (no doubt expressed in the comments below again this year) that the Best PlayStation 3 Game award should go to a PS3-exclusive game

Whats so Lol about this? Generations while good is still average compared to most other platforms. Rayman is far better than Sonic Gen. But since Sonic has had absolute turd since Genersis days any half decent game is treated as a masterpiece.

It will be interesting to see if Xenoblade is included in GameFAQs's Wii GotY poll, because I'd like to see how it does in the US and Europe.
