Yeah, kind of. He went to my high school and I graduated with his brother. It's not like we were best friends or anything, but we've hung out a few times and it's just awesome to see a hometown guy doing this great in the NHL.

It's kind of funny actually, about half the NHLers that went to my high school have won the Stanley Cup. Lanny McDonald, Duane Sutter, Jamie Pushor, Brent Seabrook, Kris Versteeg. It's only balanced because the other 5 Sutters never won the Cup.

If our best player is considered to be Getzlaf then you are wrong. He's probably been our worst player this year. He has been absolutely horrible every game, but he still picks up an assist here and there so his stats don't look anywhere near as bad as they should.
