I am SICK and ****ing tired of seeing goals get scored on plays where someone without a stick hangs around in the defensive zone doing nothing useful for an entire minute rather than spending ten seconds going to the bench and getting a new one.

Also: It sounds like the Staples Center is 75% filled with Canucks fans tonight. **** that, I'm done watching!

Every time Canucks go to California it sounds like half the arena is cheering for them. There's a lot of fans in that state plus people from Vancouver take trips to California because we usually have 2 or 3 games within a week against the three teams.

Lubo's stinking up the joint so far. I didn't expect him to repeat last year's numbers, but he and Lydman have struggle quite a bit in the early going. Both guys are coming off shoulder surgeries in the off-seasn so that might explain part of it. Lubo especially just doesn't look quite right - he isn't shooting when he's got the chance, which is totally unlike him. Good thing Fowler is so damn good. He's our clear #1 defenseman right now, and he and Beach have been our top pairing since the start of the season. I seriously cannot believe how good Fowler is. I mean, he had a great rookie season but he looks WAY better this year. I'd be shocked if he didn't win a Norris or two in his career. He's our best defensive and offensive defenseman...he just makes everything look so easy. He really is Niedermayer 2.0

Hmmm, it turns out that he actually has 2 broken fingers! One in each hand. He's been quietly playing with a broken finger in his left hand for the past 2 weeks, and last night he broke one in his right hand while blocking a shot. That explains his poor play to some degree.

The Ducks just can't buy goals this season. Tons of quality chances, numerous posts, and we couldn't must up more than two goals. I never thought we'd be dead last in scoring in the NHL.

Carlyle? We just signed him to a 3-year extension! I don't think he's the problem though. We just....suck. Selanne and Fowler are literally the only guys playing well this season. That's it. Lydman and Vis have down a complete 180 from last year, as has Hiller who has been brutal almost every game. Our so called "best line in hockey" isn't producing, and that's a recipe for disaster because we have zero scoring depth. Our PP, which has been one of the best in the league for years, can't get anything done either. At least our PK is good.

Hmmm, so the Ducks picked up Hagman on re-entry waivers which means we only have to pay him $1.5 mil. His contract expires at the end of the season so it seems like a low risk move.
