Depends on who they're fighting. Remember that F/SN Berserker was horribly overpowered against pretty much everyone except Saber and Gil due to God Hand, and that's only because Saber had one of the best Noble Phantasms and Gil had overpowering f***ing limitless offense.

F/SN Bahsahkah was a lot more boring, though, definitely!

you forgot Archer in there too for pretty much the same reasons as Gil. how he jobbed out there in the first route i don't think anybody knows. likewise i don't think anybody knows all the runes lancer had either.

13 for first season, yeah. They're continuing in Spring 2012. The reason being is that the animation is taking up so much time and money that they don't want to feel the need to rush it, so they will take their time instead.

Archer lost because of God Hand. Remember that God Hand nullifies anything- physical attacks, magic, even Noble Phantasms- rank C or lower, how he becomes completely immune to an attack after he regenerates to his next life, and how Archer's projection's are dropped an entire rank when he projects them. He'd have to resort to just nuking with different A or EX rank projections, which I don't really think he'd have too many of, plus he's already injured early on in.

And Lancer? I really, really doubt he has 10 instant kill runes out there or he'd have used some of them (Gae Bolg works once, considering it's B rank).

God Hand is pretty much the most hax passive Noble Phantasm out there, I think!

except we've also seen a single NP work on him on two separate occasions from Shirou, both of which we know without a doubt Archer should have known as well. that's why it doesn't really make a lotta sense. we also know he can make Excalibur, and you seem to be forgetting that he could supercharge NPs to increase their abilities as well, which should offset any decrease they have. just not a lot of sense behind his loss overall beyond 'in that route he really didn't know everything about himself and he was greatly weakened early on'.

lancer i doubt he has it too, but i wouldn't rule out the possibility (i'm pretty sure he can bump Gae Bolg to A with runes) because while God Hand is one of the most powerful on paper, in action it wasn't THAT impressive as we were shown multiple examples that took multiple lives off.

It's stated that Lancer could have bumped Gae Bolg high enough to bypass God Hand. But I don't think it'd be enough to one-shot Berserker, and he'd just stomp Lancer afterward.

We also know it's suicidal for him to do so. And the supercharge was just broken phantasm which really only made them good as arrows which is how he killed Zerker six times to begin with

When? You have Caliburn, which took away multiple lives before he could regenerate, and Nine Lives, which took away multiple lives before he could regenerate;. Also, didn't making Caliburn take a huge toll on Shirou even with Saber's help, and Nine Lives almost killed him in the process? Or at least almost f***ed up his magic circuits beyond repair. Only reason Nine Lives worked to begin with was because Nine Lives itself was meant to strike multiple times simultaneously.

Yeah, Nine Lives obviously is a hefty thing to produce, but it was really the arm that screwed Shirou over.
Archer could probably pull off Nine Bullet Revolver without nearly as big of a penalty.

yeah, it's a hefty thing to produce for a guy at Shirou's level. but for a guy like Archer? it didn't make much sense. especially as the opponent was a guy in front of him AND Shirou popped it out of the arm too. i forget if it's because Shirou saw the weapon and knew it from there or if it was something detailed in the arm. both ways, it's something Archer'd know.

and we know Excalibur is extremely taxing on him after he has no master at all, creates a cage of swords to trap a person in, and has UBW active, which we know is very taxing in and of itself as that drained Rin's magic supply. i forget if the 17 or so swords projected came first or after there.


but those are only two examples that we know of through Shirou. both of which would definitely be known through Archer, and he's got countless others known as a Guardian, some of which get shown in HA. the only real justification that can be made is that he never recovered from the Saber slash and he never really recovered his memories either in that route. and he still took off half the lives.
