-Matches will last exactly 24 hours. Votes after that much time has elapsed will not be counted, even if a new topic hasn't gone up yet. -This is a contest to determine which character is the most *powerful*. Vote only for the character you think would win in a fight, not the one who's funnier, cooler, or sexier. If you don't do that I can't count your vote. -BOLD YOUR VOTE. Unbolded votes will NOT be counted. -Rallying is allowed. Alts are not. -Fights will take place in a neutral terrain. This does not necessarily mean a *featureless* terrain: assume that both characters will have a chance to use all of their skills to the fullest here, barring setting-specific abilities and anything that requires the presence of multiple enemies (but see below). -Characters start the fight alone. They don't bring allies with them, like Kerrigan and the Zerg Swarm for instance. Summons are allowed though, provided they're brought once combat has started. -Fighters retain their usual personalities. They won't fight to kill unless that's their MO, and won't spam their best attacks to win unless, again, that's how they act in their original media. -Similarly, fighters are unaware of their opponents capabilities at the start of the fight unless their powers facilitate them information (like knowing all there is to know in the universe - this would include who the opponent is and what he can do, as well as weaknesses) -You don't have to justify your vote, but it helps. If you feel like you can add something to the debate, go right ahead! -Seriously, BOLD THE VOTE. So important it bears repeating. -Bracket Link, for viewing past results and future matches: http://www.bracketmaker.com/tmenu.cfm?&tid=408528&tclass=

(4) Sarda
From 8-Bit Theatre, Sarda is an extremely powerful reality warper. The self-proclaimed 'Wizard Who Did It', he is responsible for the events of the story behind the scenes. He is all-powerful and, among other abilities, can reverse and stop time, as well as manipulate reality itself. Sarda is tremendously arrogant and spiteful: he has often used his powers to affect the universe out of sheer boredom or just to irritate others, such as when he shortened the length of the days from 36 hours to 24, just to make everyone hurry up, as well as deleting an alternate timeline where the light warriors actually saved the world, which he then erased. He is nigh-omniscient and omnipotent: though mighty as few are, he has been taken by surprise before, and was overcome by the arrival of Chaos after absorbing an exorbitant amount of magic.

(3) Kizaru
From One Piece, Borsalino, also known as Admiral Kizaru, is one of the leaders of the Marines and a powerful warrior. He possesses powers over light, which allow him to transform into energy, making objects pass through him and reconstructing his body from energy particles afterward. He is capable of moving and attacking at the speed of light, and all of his attacks are based on the element of light; such as firing energy blasts from his fingertips or feet with extreme precision. His power is very destructive, causing huge explosions and easily destroying buildings. He also has the ability to reflect himself, essentially moving from one location to the next at the speed of light. His weapon of choice is a blade created through his powers, made of pure light.

Wasn't it established in his last match that he's never demonstrated actual light speed anything?

Kizaru unless someone can say why Sarda can stop him before he gets one attack in. Or if Sarda can even survive through Kizaru's attacks and can counter before Kizaru attacks again.
When he doesn't want to use them later, Sarda has a tendency to just warp someone away to a location they can't possibly return from. Like the moon, or a point "three seconds to the left of the future". Logia body isn't really going to help there...though it might let Kizaru actually return from the moon
The problem is that I'm quite sure there are several instances of Sarda knowing stuff ahead of time despite his younger self being nowhere in the vicinity. So even though his response sounds like a confirmation of RM's idea, it's likely that he still has some form of precog anyway. Still need to find actual examples for this though.

I kind of don't see logia types being automatically immune to magic. It's not like they are immune to all damage, just that their bodies can't be hurt by physical attacks since they are made of their element.
It's like how Croc can be hit if there is water involved because he is sand. Light is not immune to magic (especially Sarda's) and Sarda isn't going to attack with physical attacks.
As for being hit at the speed of light. Kizaru is going to at least take a couple seconds, cause he likes to pause before doing stuff, and Sarda can freeze time.

Precognition and Kizaru apparently not being the speedblitz type and frankly, even if he were he's basically made of magic (not called magic in his own series but the principle is the same) and it's not like Sarda isn't prepared for magical stuff coming at him. Also anyone using the "they know what round they're in" argument from past rounds has to pick Sarda because his precog means he already prepared for this match two rounds ago <_<

hmmm I think I'm going to go with Sarda. Although he's a bit of an overrated punk with questionable precog and even more questionable defense (his tankiness to physical damage is never shown, is it?) who's going to be dicking around with his opponents rather than killing them, he's going to be staying fairly safe while doing so. So if Kizaru doesn't speedblitz, he doesn't have much of a hope, unfortunately.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the consensus in Kizaru's earlier match with Asuna was that his abilities weren't magic. Otherwise Asuna's passive magic nullification would have taken him out of the tournament in round one.

would assume the turning into light and haki in general as magic. thing is any physical hit he does requires him to turn back to normal anyway. so she'd still get her head kicked in.

...He does? I don't remember that, when was it stated? The closest I can think of is Rayleigh intercepting him, but that was pretty clearly haki rather than the leg turning physical. Also...wouldn't that slow down the attack? By a lot?

part of the way his power works. he can fire energy, make energy swords, or bounce around in mirrors or whatever and has a great travel speed (and that's just about the only time he ever gets to go at what people generally mean when they say 'light speed'), but in terms of physically attacking someone he can't do it in his light state. hell i don't think he can attack at all in his light state period.
and yes, it does mean he's never really ever fighting at light speed, but that was known already just by the way everyone in one piece is. i mean he's still plenty fast as really just from the speed he can go at almost any hit is pretty strong, but he's probably the slowest 'light speed' guy you'll find.

Well, I was more referring specifically to the "light speed kick" off his, which explicitly makes use of his ability. Turning physical at any point should basically stop its motion entirely due to conservation of momentum...I think. I mean, sure, kicking someone with light doesn't make any sense either, but it just seems weird to replace it with something else that isn't really much better.

From: Pirateking2000 | #033 how tanky is Sarda anyway
like if he was hit by this (AMV but just found for scene) would he be alright or?
He did have the universe spring into existence on top of him <_< Probably protected from it in some way, but then he floated around through various interstellar phenomena for billions of years even though he was by his own admission completely depowered at the beginning of it. There's not much point made of it but he's clearly not a base human physically, and the plan to actually beat him *did* require an attack that should have had a whole ****ton of power (even though the explosion it made was fairly small, it was an attack usually represented by a nuclear explosion fueled by the power of some pretty damn potent dudes). He couldn't have survived it normally, true (though the whole "does Sarda have the orbs and evil power" question should probably be answered at some point since it's less temporary than stuff like Buuhan that we've run with), but if something less than that could have worked they would have done it since Red Mage wouldn't have trusted Black Mage to actually hit something with his Hadoken unless it was needed.
