And suddenly the league takes on an appearance of favoring survival over longevity. You'd think after the choices I've gone with, I'd be more confident in my decision-making. Instead I actually feel more nervous than ever after seeing 75% of the field evaporate.
It concerns me that my most immediate reaction for a pick has already been made by 2 people (out of 9 in the field.) However, out of the likely winners in games that aren't rather dangerous, I see the Raiders and Bears (and Bengals) as being the weakest among them. And I'm leery to say the Bears are likely to win. I'm second-guessing myself on Oakland as well, though, so instead I'm thinking...
I can't say your Chargers stat is surprising. They're a team that plays not as well as they probably should, yet still manages to win their games usually. So they're reliable against fodder, but not top tier. Five of those Chargers picks were in week 3 when they were the obvious go-to against the Chiefs. Y'know, like the Giants were the obvious pick last week, and it almost ended just as badly.
I think the Chargers stat is surprising given that the Chargers have a tendency to play like crap in the first half of the season and lose to teams they shouldn't. This year was an anomaly really.

That's probably why I stayed away from the Giants last week.
