Dante, KOS-MOS, Axl, Old Snake, and Omega Ridley have challenged Kefka, Ryu, Revan, Big Boss, Liquid Snake, and Joanna Dark to a fight! Location of the fight: Ravenholm: The once-prosperous town turned into a devastated ruin where the ground is said to be messy and bloody from headcrabs. The Headcrab Zombies and Father Grigori have vacated the area, but the multitude of traps, fires, and gas canisters remain. Access to the rest of the world is forbidden. Which side will win?
Guidelines
- The fight will occur in real-time (like an FMV sequence). Gameplay mechanics are less important than how the characters would function in a real-time environment.
- The members of each team are ideal teammates capable of a pre-selected plan of battle.
- "Broken" refers to a lot of things, including insta-death, auto-effects, a variety of status effects (e.g., Imp, Silence, Stop, *not* Poison), and revival. Unless stated otherwise, nobody has them, though do use your own discretion.
- There may be SPOILERS from all of the games the characters are from.
Rules for Voting
- Bold your votes (using <b> and </b>). - Provide a justification for why you think the selected team would win. Fanboy logic, ignoring character assumptions or rules, and vague or unintelligible justifications are all grounds for having your vote disqualified. - If you want to switch your votes simply bold the change; there's no need to delete your post, though you may if you wish. - This match will end in 24 hours.
Dante is as he appears in DMC4, though he does not have his canon regen. He may access Devil Trigger for up to 10 seconds every 5 minutes, and he does not have Pandora or Yamato. Dante is KO’d immediately as the fight starts, and cannot be revived by any means.
KOS-MOS is as she appears in Xenosaga 1, though she does not have access to Gate, Satellite, or S-Chain. She's strictly in her Red Eyes form, has access to only her techs as well as Shion's transferable ones minus Revert, all her weapons save for F-SCYTHE, and is in her best non-broken equipment. KOS-MOS has had her legs crippled and she has been given a generic wheelchair. KOS-MOS will not feel pain due to the broken legs.
Axl is as he appears in Mega Man X8, in his White Axl form. He has access to the DNA cores from that one game, as well as access to all his Command Mission transformations save for Mad Nautilus. He has all his X8 weapons save for Copy Shot and A Trancand his X7 Cores and Weapons, but he does not have any other powerups or items. He has access to his Hyper Mode, Stealth Form, for one minute. He can enter this form as many times as he pleases. If Axl is killed in battle his "soul" will go through a trial and will create a body like his original form. Said body will revive in roughly the last position before his death, unless it'd kill him again (e.g., in lava), whereas he'd appear in the closest neutral position. He may do this an unlimited number of times over a “battle time” of 12 hours, however if Axl dies and is the last member of his team remaining his team loses. Finally, three clones of axl have been summoned from the time stream. Due to crazy time shenanigans, these clones can fly. However, they die in one hit x_X.

Old Snake is as he appears in Metal Gear Solid 4, though he does not suffer from his self-destructive FOXDIE issues. He is equipped with his Stun Knife, suppressed Operator, Five-SeveN, fully upgraded M4 Custom, Mk. 46 Machine Gun, DSR-1 Sniper Rifle, MGL-140 with a full supply of all non-emotion forms of grenades, C4, Stinger, Solar Gun, Rail Gun, THOR .45-70, and The Patriot. He also has access to his Solid Eye, Octocamo, Nanomachine Syringe, Facecamo with a copy of every mercenary on the field, the latest issue of Playboy, cigarette packet, a cardboard box, and Stealth Camouflage.
Omega Ridley is as he appears in his Metroid Prime 3: Corruption boss fight.
~vs~
Kefka is as he appears in Final Fantasy 6 (Advance) in the last battle. He does not have access to Trine, Heartless Angel, or Hyperdrive, but he does have all his other moves used in the boss fight. He additionally has all his Brave and HP attacks from Dissidia: Final Fantasy, as well as the Exhilarating Magic skill, and these attacks all function as "normal attacks," i.e., there's no weird Brave mechanics involved.
Ryu has all his powerful melee attacks, his standard special moves and his super moves, though he has to build up enough power to use them. Kefka has put a slave crown on Ryu, making him follow all orders without question. Ryu is devoid of emotions and personal memories. Ryu will regain his emotions and personal memories if Kefka is killed in battle.
Big Boss is as seen in Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker in his Battle Dress w/ Helmet. He has his M47, PTRS1941, Patriot, EZ Gun, K Pistol, Claymores, Chaff Grenades, Bandana, Stealth Camo and Stun Bomb Box. Big Boss has thrown every type of box he has onto the terrain, filling it with boxes everywhere.
Revan is as he appears in Star Wars: KOTOR. He is A Male Villainous Scout Guardian, has access to his best non-broken equipment and access to all his Force powers as seen in KOTOR save for those in the Affect Mind, Stun, Destroy Droid, Wound, and Fear chains.
Liquid Snake appears as he does in Metal Gear Solid/MGS: The Twin Snakes, armed with his FAMAS rifle with infinite ammo. Liquid is piloting the Hind-D, as seen in Metal Gear Solid. It has all of its weaponry and parachutes intact.
Joanna Dark is as she appears in Perfect Dark. She is equipped with a Crossbow, Laser, a handful of combat knives, RC-P120, Sniper Rifle, Laptop Gun, Shotgun, Tranquilizers, N Bombs, Remote, Timed and Proximity Mines, Bombspy, Drugspy, X-Ray Scanner, IR Scanner, Cloaking Device. Additional gear on her includes a Shield, and a Combat Boost.
Team Revan’s Argument:
Sooooo...this is a 6 on 3, since KOS-MOS can't walk and is reduced to wheelchairing through a minefield of Big Boss's cardboard boxes that explode if you disturb them, plus Ravenholm's usual traps. On my side, I have a Hind waiting to explode anyone who shows their heads, Kefka's magic, a mind controlled Ryu under Kefka's orders, meaning Kefka is going to say 'Kill' and watch Ryu go all Satsui no Hado on someone's ass. Joanna to set up laptop guns to catch people trying to traverse the terrain, Big Boss and Joanna to snipe from the windows and to ruin Snake's stealth camo with IR vision (and besides, Big Boss kind of whups Old Snake anyway skillwise. See MGS4), and Revan to be Revan, the best combat guy on the field in any circumstance, let alone one where he can TK toss saw blades and other assorted Ravenholm death around
To the other team's credit, Axl is pretty good with his resurrecting (though the Bub Axls are worthless and die immediately to Liquid spraying gunfire), but pretty good isn't good enough against these kind of odds

Alright, gentlemen, let's cover the key arguments *against* me winning the match first.
A) "Indian Heritage isn't going to do all that much. Axl is too stupid to use it properly."
I beg to differ. Perhaps Axl is hot-headed, but two of his teammates are not and battle plans exist. While Axl charges into danger, Snake can simply sit back and enjoy his cigarettes at the starting point. Who's going to catch him while camo'd?
B) "KOS-MOS is crippled. She's useless."
False. KOS-MOS has Ridley and can hitch a ride with him. 'She can't climb onto him', you say? Even assuming her team decides helping her is for idiots, this is false. She can grab hold of one of Ridley's limbs and attack with one of her guns with her free hand. We might not see the X-Buster wrecking face here, but KOS-MOS cannot be discounted regardless given the firepower she's packing.
Now, let's go over the reasons my team can pull this off:
A) Firepower.
Four Axls. KOS-MOS. Snake with sneak attacks, the railgun, explosives, and more. Ridley being as tanky as they come and more than capable of trolling DC's gunners all day long while KOS-MOS annihilates them. Each of my team members brings something nasty to the battle, and they outnumber the opposition to boot. They are, put simply, Just Better. Five deadly robots, a grizzled old killer, a master of the art of sneaking, and an unstoppable monster who requires ultratech weaponry to put down and refuses to die no matter how heavily damaged. This, opposed by a Jedi Master (decently challenging), a mighty spellcaster (also challenging), a chopper (fodder for the hails of projectiles), and gunners (poor, poor squishy gunners with modern weaponry, facing high-tech foes). And Ryu, 'lol'.
B) The element of surprise.
Both Axl and Snake can stealth. Do I need to explain how powerful this is? We're talking about attacks from all directions thanks to the clones providing extra muscle, while death rains from above (or the sides) thanks to Kossy and Ridley.
C) Advantage as the fight drags on.
Axl is a permanent fountain of reinforcements, and my team knows it. With KOS-MOS equipped with healing abilities to patch Ridley up so he can keep stalling (and the big lug is very beefy to begin with) and Snake's ability to escape notice, Team Revan is screwed: they have to kill absolutely everybody *fast*, because their ability to recover from attacks is minimal, while my team won't stop coming for them...and yet they can't. 30-40 seconds after the first fight, it becomes a 10v6. A minute, minute and ten seconds, it's a 14v6. A minute and a half, and it's a 18v6. How often has a single merc's arrival swung a match, in your mind? And how useful do you think four top-end mercs will be? There isn't even room to hide, as most of my team is capable of completely wrecking Ravenholm, and the one person who isn't (Snake) can just chill while everybody else goes out to fight.

I think there's an interp clause about leaving the arena, but it *is* interp. As long as the character doesn't leave the Ravenholm area, no.

Consider that this Axl has excellent stealth and the clones are fliers and there ain't that much of a 'maybe'. The Hind is weak enough that even Snake could down it, two of the opponents are basic gunners, another one is Ryu...this is pretty much Kefka+Revan+scrubs.

For one, Axl does not have a 'permanent supply of reinforcements'. He has two Bub clones who came with him due to a PS, and when he dies, they're gone, as they were an ability, not any kind of passive attached to him. For another, his (and Snake's) stealth doesn't work very well while in a minefield, and while both Joanna and Liquid can see through it (Hind comes with IR vision).
...plus, Big Boss has his own cardboard box. And his blows up if you mess with it

And in response to your second point, my team doesn't particularly care about collateral damage. Thanks to Ridley none of them are groundbound (except the tanky Axl). If they choose to take to the skies and nuke ravenholm there's nothing that can stop them. Liquid and Kefka are not likely to win a sky battle against Ridley and Kossy.

If Indian Heritage is a pre-battle, and then Arcadia is something that kicks in at the start, it makes even less sense that Axl would be able to use the start of battle *again* after he loses it the first time

A) KOS-MOS remaining active after severe damage. She has showings of this.
B) Thinking tactically. She has also done this before.
C) Aiming at different targets with her hand-mounted guns. Ibidem.
D) Trash what is a piece of practically primitive equipment from her point of view while moving faster than usual and having the advantage of flight. Admittedly I don't remember showings of this, as I don't think this has happened in Xenosaga before.
So...I'll see if I can provide those vids, if you really, really want them. None of the pieces that make up this plan are ridiculous. It's not like KOS-MOS is a human and her grip will slip, or she'll lose focus and fall due to stupidity. And bypassing the minefield makes perfect sense, you'll have to agree with me on this. Trying to brave it when you can circumvent it is nonsense.

...and Ridley doesn't even particularly strike me as the most reliable kind of flight to hitch a ride to, provided you wanted to aim and hit anything. He kind of flaps, bobs and weaves, trying to maintain his bulk. So toss 'Trying to hit stuff while Ridley flaps up and down' on the list

Iffy on whether the clones get Indian heritage; it's not quite the same as Shin Shoryuken, as in this case it's an effect being applied to the merc - they're clones of Axl, and Axl had Indian heritagewjen the clones were made (due to the previously mentioned pre/start of battle thing.
At the same time, I don't think the clones could have abilities applied to them. If Dracula had used wacky vampire immunities on Axl then clones were summoned then I wouldnt see them having it.

More likely scenario if she even tries this tactically suicidal plan is, they both get up in the air, she *tries* to take aim, and then Liquid hits Ridley with one of those oversized missiles of his that are capable of flattening the top level of a command tower. *Then* she gets dislodged, falls down onto box mines and explodes

More explanation: Three super Axls reviving negates anything that the other team has to offer. Even with Dante dead and KOSMOS as a cripple, Ridley can sly away or Snake can hide and the Axls can keep chipping away for hours.

Indian Heritage is pre-battle. This means Axl gets to revive. This doesn't mean the Bub clones he took with him as a start of battle after he used that pre-battle get to revive too. That wouldn't make any sense at all

Axl's Clones have the Revival, with the same limits as the original Axl. They maintain the bub level durability even after a revival. They do not however get Hyper Form, since that resolves after the clones are formed.
