This is my prediction.

I'd like to see it, not only am I a D-backs fan, I think it would be cool to see the Upton brothers battle it out.

Then why even bring up April? You could just pick a random game in July and say "Yep, that's why they lost their playoff spot."
This is exactly what I'm saying. EVERY game matters. The ones in April, the ones in July, and the ones in September.

This is an easy concept.

OK, then, because it sounded like you were blaming the Red Sox missing the playoffs because of games in April rather than calling it a collective failure of failureness.

The reason I point to September is because its when they clearly played their worst ball of the season, and it was over a long period of time. I don't really focus on individual games because in MLB, every team wins 50 games and loses 50 games, and its about what you do with the games in between.

PHI - Home team; have to root for them.
TB - Great story, love the Rays' ability to put together low budget teams.
ARI - Another underdog team. Bonus points for beating the Giants, who I've grown to hate.
NYY/TEX - Good teams, would be fine seeing either win.
DET - Eh. Can't care about 'em.
STL - Yuck.
MIL - Huge yuck.

Normally the Red Sox in every other year, but since the Cliff Lee situation arose I have said that I'd root for the Red Sox over the Phillies in that potential WS match up just to see that c*** lose. F*** him.

I am similar to you lefty. If the White Sox aren't in it, this is generally how I prefer things to be:

1. Teams without a WS title
2. Teams that haven't won since I have been alive (exception, see #4)
3. Teams that I am kind of feeling for the particular season
4. Red Sox, Twins, Cubs

There are also additional exceptions. The D-Backs won in '01, but because they are having a magical season with a roster and coaching staff that you can't help but wish that they succeed.

I just don't like Prince Fielder. Or the fact that there are actually people who seriously think he's the greatest player.

Also I seriously hate their uniforms.

I would be totally fine with the Brewers if they got rid of either Fielder or their uniforms.

They were 33-9 AKA a bulk of their win percentage or something against the Astros, Cubs and Pirates. A little over .500 against everyone else the league.

Better hitting? lol, they have us beat in average by .010, OBP by .002, and slugging by .009, and they have hit 12 more HR's.
D'backs scored more runs, 18 more doubles, 6 more triples, and GIDP the least amount of times in all of baseball. They also have a high LD%.

If anything their hitting is about the same.

D'backs have better fielding(best in the majors) and better baserunning as well.
D'backs are 4-3 against the Brewers this season, 2 of those loses came off two guys who won't be on the postseason roster, and one of them was sent to the minors right after that loss.
D'backs also have the best record in all of baseball since May 14th(15 -22 entering May 14th).

By all means, the D'backs are a much better team.
