The 360 controller is pretty good-- possibly better than the dual shock, as long as you don't play games that need the pad.

That's a pretty big "as long as" though so I voted Dual Shock.

I prefer the 360 controller, its very comfy, after many hours actually my hands can get a bit cramped with the PS3 controller. But I do use PS3 controller for all fighting games, since the d-pad rocks.

I voted Kinect. It's highly innovative technology, that while not being used too much in games today, is a great advancement for us as a species. Give it a few years and we'll all (hopefully) be playing without controllers.

something like kinect is obtuse for interacting with a screen, motion controls won't be the ideal way to play anything until we invent holodecks(and then it will still need to be far more accurate than it is today)

CCP is basically an even less comfortable DS3 with third party analog sticks, even on nintendo 8 it's ridiculous to see people actually recommending that archaic piece of junk.

Personally, the 360 feels the best out of the standard controllers for the Wii, PS3, and 360.

By the way, I'm not opposed to the idea of the Kinect being the future of gaming, so long as we continue to improve on the core concept. As it exists now, it's not worth it. But I do believe there's some groundwork there that could form a new type of controlling.

I mean, hell, down the road controller pads could become completely simulated. No more physical pad.

actually a pretty solid controller lineup compared to past generations. 360 could use a good dpad but that's the only complaint I've got.

The only explanation for people picking CCP over either the PS3 or 360 controllers is they're HUGE Nintendo fans.

Anyway, that Saitek controller looks pretty cool. 6 face buttons should become the standard again, SEGA Mega Drive 4life!

I didn't know that preferring something means you hate the other. I prefer the 360 controller to the DS3. But I still like the DS3.

still admitting that nintendo is making a repeated design error by making most games only support the wiichuk and not the classic controller. along with squaresoft winning vlado's contest, this offers some hope for this board going forward, we've almost moved past the age where the average b8er would drop to their knees and do whatever sick disgusting thing reggie asked them to if it meant being allowed to be in his presence for another few minutes...then again most of them would've gleefully done it anyway

I ended up voting for "Nintendo's Wii Remote + Nunchuck" because I don't have a PS3 or Xbox 360 since I don't have an HDTV yet. The HDTV is holding me back from getting a PS3 or Xbox 360, since I want to make sure my games don't look like crap on on an old SDTV.

the dpad on the CCP is actually fantastic, the problem is that this is 2011 and few games use the dpad as a primary method of input, what IS very suspect on the CCP is its analog sticks, which are as loose and inaccurate as third party sticks(like logitech...god this board has low standards)

There's nothing wrong with the 360's control stick.

Unless you're just saying there are more games that need the control stick than the control pad-- not denying that, but having a non functional stick or pad is bad news.
