From: JeffreyRaze | #080 Going by the higher showings of Archie Super Sonic, what are the odds that he could rip apart Buu and scatter his parts across wherever? We've kinda been over his higher showings - they're all pretty much standstills with other super forms, apart from the bloodthirsty separate transformation that is basically a separate altogether. Super Sonic might be able to rip Buu apart, but I doubt it for a few reasons:
1. Sonic doesn't come into the fight knowing that Buu needs to be split apart, and even if he does figure it out, that's probably past the point where Buu's playing around. 2. Buu can summon his shredded self together pretty quickly, if him recombining after Earth blew up is any indication. 3. It's not in Sonic's character. He's not that cutthroat or bloodthirsty; he's resourceful and he'll do what it takes to win, but he's never been that ruthless.
I don't know about parts 2 and 3, but The aura surrounding Sonic isnt the kind of thing that needs turned on from my understanding, it would just automatically go off.
And even if buu starts pulling himself back together that gives Sonic the time to beat him, especially since Buu wont be able to keep himself together.
i'm pretty sure that for a 'time limit' he's been SS for a damn long time. wasn't his fight against enerjak-knuckles tie version pretty much a morning to night kinda deal? i mean it's longer than fusions at least, and gotenks was doin' well enough.

What this tells me is that people should do research when doing noms, because from that single timestop panel, Fleetway Sonic looks wayyyyy more impressive than the Archie version. But hey, I could be wrong!

From: Ed Bellis | #110 I honestly have no idea where this conception that Archie Super Sonic is uber-broken comes from; he pretty much got into this bracket based on this conception. Don't know anything about Fleetway, but a single panel without context doesn't tell anything about anything!
Apparently he's pretty much on the level of the villains the Archie Super Sonic faces, which is pretty impressive, and also evil and bloodthirsty. Of course, as with Archie Super Sonic, the wiki may be a bit deceiving, but he certainly sound scary.

From: Ed Bellis | #114 I read up on some Fleetway summaries awhile back. From what I can remember about their evil Super Sonic, he's pretty much a psychopath who wants to destroy everything, but I don't know how he fights (I'd assume melee attacks and such but I don't know).
Apparently the laser-using evil Sonic in Archie is more or less lifted straight from the Fleetway Super Sonic. He's got pretty spiffy energy powers, enough to heat a planet up by millions of degrees and knock out a planetary electric power grid. So...yeah, definitely looks way more impressive than the one we got.

The comic is (what a surprise!) unclear and inconsistent with the time limit, but it honestly seems like it's around fusion length at the absolute longest. The fight against Enerjak lasted almost the full main story, but not much time seemed to pass during the fight;
just went through the issue, this is wrong. you very, very clearly see the sun when they begin fighting, and they keep fighting after sundown and after the moon shows up, where Sonic willingly reverts back to normal, otherwise he would've kept fighting.
fusion's 30 minutes. this is way longer than that.

Well, since the "purifying aura" doesn't work the way it was originally presented as, Buu takes this one. That melee isn't gonna be enough to put him down.
