probably not because most of the games I buy are already $30(less usually), but it would mean I would buy more of the games put out by the publishers that typically charge $50-60

Not twice as many, no. But I'd probably be more willing to try new games quicker. I'd probably buy more games on launch. Rather than wait around to see if I'd really like it or not.

Certainly not twice as many, but there are many more games that I would already have in my collection that I'm currently (probably hopelessly) waiting for a price drop for, namely Punch-Out!! and Lego PotC.

I can SORT OF see this. Time is definitely the limiting factor in how many games I play rather than money. But I already buy more games than I have time to play, so that doesn't really limit my purchasing. What it DOES do is make me less willing to buy games at higher prices, because I know I probably won't get a good value for my money based on how little I play each individual game.

Interestingly, this also makes me reluctant to extensively play the full-price games I do buy, because I feel compelled to commit more time to them to get my money's worth. A $10 game feels more like something that can be experienced in scattered 20-minute sessions than a $60 game, and since that's more the kind of time I have, I'm more likely to play the $10 game. So games being cheaper would reduce the feeling of not having time for them for me.

uh... some of them maybe but this is a lot of DS games. i tend to buy cheap, and for rarer games 30 is the cheapest they'll get, outside of an odd sale that you just happen to luck out on.

but i'd buy a lot more games on release as opposed to a year later, definitely
