When on lunch break today I was watching ESPN. They did a tiny cold pack of questions on the Tigers. Each and every one was answered correctly.
Is Justin Verlander the Cy Young? Yes. Is Miguel Cabrera the best hitter in the American League (in clutch situations)? Yes. Are the Tigers the favorite to win the American League? No. And this is absolutely 100% correct. Fister is a great 1 2 punch with Verlander, but the Tigers are on a 12 or 13 game win streak of some sort vs the filth of the AL Central. 4 teams that are a disgrace in terms of talent. Got to admit, nobody in their right mind wants a short series with a hot team, but goddamn I am sick and tired of Tigers this, Tigers that. ...What's wrong with this team. I checked in 7 hours ago and thought they had a won game, and then they blow it. At least the Rays lost to.....the Orioles. Now if the Yankees lose to the Mariners today, well, that'll move us one step closer to Detroit Tigers > AL East. They'd be 3.5 back of the Yankees for best record in the AL if the Mariners hold on.
Boston is now 2-8 over the last 10. The two games that we won.....we won by scores of 14-0 and 18-6, for a total of 26 runs. The 8 games we lost, we lost by a combined 27 runs. -- 90s games > 00s games ... Copied to Clipboard!
