Navi should be a universally hated character. If you pit her against Tanner, a pile of dog crap, the Big Rigs car you race, Baby Godzilla from the GB game ), Slippy, Krystal, that authorization guy from Other M, Van Damme Guile, she should get tripled. If she doesn't, there's a problem.
The *only character* that should be able to beat her is Kaepora Gaebora. Right? Huh? What? Did you say you disagreed with me there?
Navi is from Zelda. As this site has proven, that's all it freaking takes. It can be the most annoying character in the history of gaming (and Navi has a real shot at taking that title) and people will still vote for them even if they admit to hating the character simply because of the game they were in.

I highly doubt it. The only match under tingle's belt was against 3 other Nintendo characters, and even then he still scored more than 10k votes. Who knows what havoc he'd unleash against a non-Nintendo mid-carder.

who the heck is Geno and why does it have 35 procents??? No, really, i can't believe how many of those generic anime characters with stupid names and creepy cuteness (they are not cute, they're creepy!) that appeal to children that never even heard of Fallout are given such importance.

And yet one major complaint about The Wind Waker was it was too easy.
But yeah, the people who are like "You must be a kid if you like this character/game, other character/other game is SO MATURER!", etc aren't gamers so much are they're whiny people who probably bandwagoned.
Who cares if people like a game/character more than a game/character you like? People need to remember the purpose of video games in the first place, and stop bringing pointless hatred into it.
It's clear why many non gamers look down on gamers.
