1. In this contest, you only vote for a game if youve played both games in its match. Both games. This is important. 2. You have to have played them yourself, physically. Reading a Lets Play is not playing. Watching your friend or youtube is not playing. Disliking a genre is not playing. Playing the prequel/sequel is not playing. Youre the judge of how long you need to play a game before its fair to vote, but you probably shouldnt be voting for/against a 40-hour RPG if youve played the first 5 minutes. 3. All ports & remakes are grouped together. You can vote for RBY if youve only played FireRed. 4. Please vote honestly. There are plenty of contests where you can vote any way you want. The entire purpose of this contest is ruined if people dont honor the honor system. 5. In the event of a tiebreaker, the game with less C/D votes moves on. 6. One vote per person. Rallying is allowed if the people rallied also vote fairly and by the rules. Whichever game has more votes from people who have played both games (i.e. Choice A vs. Choice B) moves on. Matches last 24 hours.

Don't ask me! I just put up the matches! Apparently, it is also spelled "Faery Tail Adventure," but I'm just going by what KP put in the Bracketmaker bracket!
Sonic 3 & Knuckles vs. Planescape: Torment [4] A. Ive played both. Vote: Sonic 3 & Knuckles [14] B. Ive played both. Vote: Planescape: Torment [0] C. I havent played Sonic 3 & Knuckles. [24] D. I havent played Planescape: Torment. [5] E. I havent played/don't like either one.
Resident Evil 3: Nemesis vs. Xenogears [5] A. Ive played both. Vote: Resident Evil 3: Nemesis [10] B. Ive played both. Vote: Xenogears [7] C. I havent played Resident Evil 3: Nemesis. [3] D. I havent played Xenogears. [22] E. I havent played/don't like either one.
Total Votes: 47
A lot of people haven't played Planescape, but those who do love it. Low playership for the games in the second match, but Xenogears wins easily.

I wonder if this is the longest streak of the same letter for one match we've had so far.
I'm still holding out hope for a 0-0 tie! Before the whole C/D tiebreaker rule was introduced, this kind of situation was what I "feared." Though, I'm not sure if even I believed we'd get a 0-0 match, especially with something like FFVI on one side. I was more worried about something like a 1-1 or 2-2 tie.

Oh, did that rule get placed into effect? I know it was talked about, but I didn't know it was now implemented. I would have voted against it last time it was brought up, but this kind of match is making a much stronger case to me so far.

I'm not, but it would set a precedent that there's no lower limit to the amount of people who have played a game, so if you had this same kind of situation and got a 1-0 result, it wouldn't be all that difficult to argue that in this match it was apparently okay and we let it get all the way to tiebreakers and so it's hypocritical that we'd try and overturn the 1-0 result.
Granted, I'm not sure how many people would really care if we just went "Who cares" in response and overturned it anyway in that kind of situation, but if it's a matter of appearing consistent on the rules, it really looks like this match is going to force the issue of that rule. For MAXIMUM INTEGRITY, I'd say that rule shouldn't be implemented, but I'd also say the C/D tiebreaker is arguably a (very minor) concession on that point, though a completely reasonable one, and so in this kind of super extreme case, I can't say I'd be opposed to putting in that kind of DQ rule in as well.

I think it'd be good mostly to avoid 2 or 3 people determining the winner because they're the only ones who've played this extremely obscure game.
Good in terms of the contest and its accessibility to most people, yes. In terms of INTEGRITY and what I've assumed is the overall goal of the contest, instituting any kind of "popularity" rules seems a bit counter-productive to me.
Mind you, in spite of saying this, I have no problems with implementing that kind of rule as long as it doesn't go overboard (and 5 people doesn't seem overboard). If sacrificing just a little "integrity" makes for a much more appealing/fun/accessible contest, that seems like a good trade-off. I'm only mentioning it because I feel it kind of relates back to the "theme" of the contest. And for all I know I'm all alone in thinking about it in this light anyway.

Nah, it's some computer RPG that people seem to compare to several titles in the Ultima series. I was tempted to hunt down a copy myself for the hell of it (<3 obscure games no one else has played), but...eh. Looking at the comments about the game I can find, I can already tell there's no chance I'd like it.
Ok, so how do you buy stuff in the shops?
Go to the "mental inventory" clicking on the icon of a head, then on "ideas" (the leftmost blue third), and pick up the "shop" idea and drop it onto the shopkeeper
This is obviously the sequel to TFA and was never fully completed. As such a number of the mini-quests can't actually be completed.
...Okay, maybe it's better than people are making it sound, but...yeah I'm not going to think about this any longer. <.<
