Best:

I rated these in terms of competitiveness and all around quality of player. Not really factoring in that I won 2 of them or anything.

If you meant games I didn't play in, that'd be a very small list <_<.

Best Wins:

- Stargate
- Violin Mafia
- Classical Music Mafia

SK, Scum, and Scum. I just got to a special place when I am scum and when I can run the tables like I did in all of these games (22 vs 1 to start the game, 9-1 and 8-1 respectfully) it's just awesome.

Three worst games.

- D.N.E. (I am the one that coined the god damn phrase, I'll put it on my list if I want.)
- Life Mafia (hurts me to say that)
- Scott Pilgrim
- American Cinema

D.N.E. is D.N.E., Life had just crappy play from everyone involved and made me very sad, Scott Pilgrim was horribly ran and had a lot of bad players, and American Cinema has my eternal ire for what was possibly the weakest scum team in history.

Like my win in Violin was awesome. I don't know how anyone else feels about it, but from a personal perspective I was like "Yes! I won! I did it! That's freaking awesome!" It depends on the game and the players.

Pretty much this, since you give a perfect example as well.

You winning in what appeared to you as a beat all odds game makes the game great for you. It was probably disappointing for everyone on town, more than likely a few spectators (hence the, "Chris won as Mafia again?" comments), and even me as I was rooting for town after my Night 1 death since they rarely win.

It depends on the game simply is obvious because those on the Mafia team are hoping to win, while those on the town are hoping to win, and town out number mafia in every situation. There are a handful of outside observers who truly cheer for a Mafia win (KBM comes to mind), but I do think a vast majority of unbiased outside observers always wish town well due to the current streak over the past few years.

Town generally has the best shot of winning when it's follow the cop mafia it seems since the majority of players on B8 seem a bit lazy to do real scum hunting and only use their gut, even 6 or 7 days into a game. So it is their fault for most of their losses, but you can't help but kind of wish them the best regardless.

I'm very biased in that my favorite wins are when I have a direct say in how the game ends, and I wouldn't expect any less from anybody else.

"Witnessed" meaning I was actually here for them? Dark Tower, Stargate, Mass Effect
"Witnessed" meaning that I read it in full on the fettbox? Dark Tower, B8 Mafia, Type Moon. I have an immense soft spot for T-M because it's such a fun read and it's one of my favorite flavors ever, even among ones that haven't had a game.

Dark Tower, God of War, Fast Food. All of these fall under the "...did he seriously just pull that off" category, too <_<

Transformers 2 Town, Scott Pilgrim, DBZ3 Town. Honorable Mentions go to Life Town, Anime Town, NFL town, and a hell of a lot of other towns. As far as outright bad games there really aren't that many and it's just much easier to list off individual factions that failed.

Best games (that I remember)
Chris's performance in Violin Concerto. Still impressed how he managed to stay an entire game without suspicion (save Spiral at the end there) and I can make virtuoso jokes and "Played them like a fiddle" jokes to boot!
Even though it was marred by modkills and it was a lolCE game, CE Pokemafia. Perhaps the best mafia flavor I've read, and it's a shame Big Samus isn't here to follow it up, may he rest in peace.

Best wins
I've only won twice in B8 games (Lord of the Rings thanks to Mega Mana not postin until the last day and Classical thanks to Chris)
The third would be (morelolCE) JLA Mafia. Because of the sheer ridiculousness we pulled as scum. Dinobot claimed a pregnant Wonder Woman, I shot myself to get around the bus driver, and then I literally claimed mafia to get the revenge kill so we had a chance to win.

Worst games
Lord of the Rings-Mega Mana should have been replaced for inactivity a looong time before he finally posted again.
Fast Food-Not flavorwise, just activity-wise. Boko lurked to victory, IIRC.

I cringed when I received those actions, and I definitely made scum too strong in that set-up. You really should have won, but it was my first balancing experience and Max wasn't exactly the best co-host. >_<

Boko didn't lurk to victory like he did in NFL in Fast Food - he lurked the first Day or two, then just showed up to dominate.

My best win was easily Batman Mafia, though it wasn't a particularly interesting game other than that.


Best games I've witnessed is probably biased, but Boko coming through to kill the Mafia Prosty in Bible was riveting to watch. I've never been as entertained by a game as that one.

Worst game I've been in was probably just this last 80's cartoon, simply because of Atma. I think he took down the entire game with him. The game setup was interesting, and I had no qualms with the balance, but Atma alone killed it.

No one likes to remember that Baku almost single-handedly rolled the larger mafia team and the town. It was one of my favorite games though, I killed all the right people at just the right time, and KBM was thankfully there in my one moment of need.

People underrate how good of a game Sukoden was, but Death murdered the scum team at night and then played the absolute perfect game during the day. It was a great read all around, I think.

Mario and Killer7 tie for first for me, because I got to have my own imitation of Chris's scum play. The K7 win was especially delish, since I was second place for the lynch 6 times in 8 game days and no one in town could ever finish me off. It almost feels better to be obvscum and roll people than it is to be sneaky about it. I just dominated that town through sheer force of will.

Third one goes to BioShock. That scum team thought they were in such great shape and I absolutely murdered every single one of them by myself, and then after I died Blade and Reg made sure they couldn't pull anything over on us. And then they quit like spineless p***ies. It felt so good.

The town in Killer7, the mafia in BioShock, and any of Scare's SK games (FFX, FFT, God of War). That guy needs to roll town every game because he is painful as anything else.

No, I think Death can thank the ineptitude of us remaining townies getting paranoid that the last scum scanned innocent. Because he was the only player to go unscanned and town kept lynching innocent scanning people because they couldn't believe a second anti-town roleblocker existed. Plus, with the stacked kills it made it difficult to assume a third party existed, so we of course went with the even less logical, "scum had a godfather gifter."

Minimize them, I guess. Just sticking spoilers in the flavor is probably a bad idea. But don't let spoilers get in the way of the setup itself; game comes first IMO.

If people are going to complain about spoilers, the answer is "don't sign up for the game". but that's not free reign for the host to put spoilers wherever they feel like it

I agree with Scept. My "Girl the Dragon Tattoo" setup is done (and it's a wee bit better than my 80s... @_@).

But that setup would be impossible to make without including some spoilers since it's based on a mystery novel. Make the setup the best it can be - don't work around spoilers.

It's okay, it's just some stuff in the flavor that are spoilers that were kinda unnecessary to add anyways, so it's nothing big.
