I've had this urge to replay Final Fantasy games lately, and I've also had the urge to do some sort of playthrough topic, so I've decided to combine them into one! This is going to be a bit of a unique playthrough topic considering I've already beaten all of these games, but hopefully that will help keep it interesting for me and for those who read along. It'll mostly be me ranting and raving about why I love these games so much as I play them and reminiscing about the good old days, so if you're a Final Fantasy fan, this is for you!

I'm also trying to think of some things I can do to help make these playthroughs a little fresh for me as well. I was thinking about giving you guys the options of making some of the in-game decisions for me. I know there aren't a lot of decisions that affect the plot, but I'll let you guys choose those. I'll also let you guys choose things like my party members, my equipment, and things like what Materia combos, GFs, skills, etc. my characters have. Hopefully I won't end up regretting allowing someone else to make executive decisions about these things because they might purposefully sabotage me, but we'll see!

I was also thinking about keeping track of things like how many game overs I get per game and keeping a running log of my deaths (a la what I did in my 3-D Mario topics) just for fun. You guys will get to see how bad I can be at these games! I'll also give my thoughts about various things, my personal preferences, how I do certain things in the games, etc. so hopefully it will be fun for all! Feel free to offer suggestions of stuff you might want me to try to do to make this more entertaining. I won't guarantee that I'll do it, but I'll at least consider it (maybe)! Plus, who knows, maybe my opinions about some of the characters and/or games will change along the way, and maybe you'll learn something new about these games you didn't know before!

Oh, and these are the FF games I'm going to be playing and the order I'll be playing them in:

1. FFVI
2. FFVII
3. FFT
4. FFVIII
5. FFIX
6. FFX
7. FFX-2
8. FFXII
9. FFXIII
10. Maybe FFXIII-2 if it's out by the time I get this far!

Not gonna play the older FF games or the various handheld spinoffs because they don't interest me as much.

I actually have a higher tolerance of FFX-2 than most.

Just don't ask me to 100% it.

I am debating how much I'm actually going to play, if I should play just the main plot and maybe some relevant sidequests, or if I should go for 100% (or somewhat close) completion. There are some things in these games I've never done (I've never beaten Emerald or Ruby in FFVII, for instance), so maybe this can change things!

Can't forget FFT!

I definitely won't go for stuff like maxing out stats, job classes, and things like that. That stuff's too tedious for me! 100% for me would basically be doing all the sidequests there are to do and maybe getting all the rare treasures and stuff. Stat maxing will not factor into it!

PSN, on the PS2, the original PS2, man so many ways to play 7-9.

PSone FFT or War of the Lions FFT, FFX vanilla or international(Europe got international not sure about US)

I have the originals for the PS for all the modern FFs, and my PS3 is totally backward compatible, so we're good there!

U.S. didn't get FFX International, unfortunately.

I don't actually dislike FFXII! Otherwise, I wouldn't be bothering to play it!

Compared to my enthusiasm for other games in the series, it may seem like I dislike it, but I don't.
