Yeah that. I actually forgot about the trilogy. Just pick that up instead of DMC3. It's weird that they call it a trilogy though, when it only comes with 2 games.

I was mostly referring to Pram, who obviously hasn't played anything but RPG's if he thinks those are the best games on the system.

Yeah, GoW2 is actually really good. I thought GoW1 was repetitive after a few hours, but 2 is good. You'll probably like 1 though, and you'd want to play that since 2 starts right at the end of 1.

I'm not getting a PS2 because most of the PS2 games I was interested in are coming to PS3 so what's the point?

I hope to be playing through Metal Gear Solid 2/3 in about December/January.

Did you have an XBox? If not, then may I suggest the Hitman games, as well as Freedom Fighters? Also try Mercenaries: World in Flames (not Mercs 2, because the PS2 version was supposed to be much worse than the next-gen console versions).

I had an Xbox and Gamecube. Also 360 and Wii. No PS3 or PS1.

Ah. In that case, the games I suggested are better on the Xbox.

But now that I'm home and can look at my games, I'll suggest Silent Hill 2 as a stand-alone, and Silent Hills 1 and 3 if you can find them both. Also recommend Katamari Damacy (and if you like that, We <3 Katamari). If you want more GTA outside of the main trilogy, there are ports of Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories (originally PSP games); they're pretty good, just not as good as the main games.

I've got some personal picks, too, but they're not for everyone so I won't share them here.
