I've been fine with my DS Phat all these years, but that doesn't have any crippling problems like the 3DS' battery life so I'm waiting this time.

I will be buying the 3DS Lite next year. Same price but better battery and better library.

Only real concern is battery life, right? That's fixable with the $30 battery pack.

still haven't had my 3DS battery run out on me while playing. Because of the charge station it comes with, I always put it there when I'm done playing it for the day instead of just leaving it on the desk. Unlike a regular power cord, having something that's there sitting on my desk as my 3DS's home reminds me to always charge it.

The DS Lite was cheaper than the original DS. I don't see why they would make the 3DS Lite more expensive than the 3DS after the recent events.

I definitely wouldn't get a smaller 3DS if they made one. This one's small enough.

however if the tech advanced enough for them to make a 3DS XL I'd definitely go for it

Well, cheaper than the launch price, but you might be right given that the price drop was quite early. However, it'll probably be a while for the redesign like the PSP 2000, and keep in mind that the 3DS is selling at a loss already so they'd have to make some advances to keep the 3DS Lite at $170.

Actually yeah, I don't think there will ever be a "3DS Lite." They'll just release a newer model in place of the old ones.

I'm waiting a while to purchase it, but it's definitely not because I'm unsatisfied with the current model. Frankly, I still think the DS Grande is better than the DS Lite and DSi; though admittedly, the DSi XL is my favorite model. DAT SCREEN

oh definitely. The DS Lite has got to be the most shoddy handheld that Nintendo has ever put together. Filled with manufacturing errors and a right hinge that's made of glass. I'd definitely take the Phat over that as that thing's a tank. I'd take both DSi's over that though because they have all the upgrades of the Lite without being super fragile


XL > DSi > Phat > DS Lite
