I'm liking it a lot, more than I thought I would. Especially the gameplay, for some reason I thought I wouldn't enjoy it a lot but I do. I also like the story, though it does remind me of Alpha Protocol (which isn't really a bad thing).

This underground secret laboratory has some pretty lax security. Not that I'm complaining, I just stole some aug canisters with anyone even raising a fuss!

I took Targeting Vision and Cloak.

I grabbed radar transparency instead of cloak because I found you can always kill people with one or two well placed bullets, whereas turrets/bots/cameras are more ... "expensive" to get rid of.

First off, the GEP Gun is way more powerful than I thought it would be. One rocket to take out a robot? That sounds amazing to me!

But now I'm faced with probably the hardest aug decision I've seen, Power Recirculator or Synthetic Heart. Both sound good, but it comes down to how prevalent the upgrade canisters are. It's not like I'm constantly using all my powers, so if there's enough to fully upgrade a few then the Recirculator is better. Then again, I don't need to upgrade the heart and maybe upgrading all of them to at least 2 would make me use more of them.

I got the Power Recirculator. And the synthetic heart.

I never used synthetic heart so I don't actually know what it does. It doesn't get any upgrades though.

Power recirculator I maxed out and then I maxed out health regen and I could leave those on basically forever at some bits in the game where repair bots were around. Or just for a few seconds to max out my health.

Of course, I underused my augmentations until I had recirculator maxed out and it was late in the game because I was always afraid of running out of energy. It was like all the super one use items in RPGs that I have all of until the end of the game because I'm saving them for an emergency.

But by the end of the game I had everything maxed out and literally had to throw away cannisters.

From what it says, it looks like Synthetic Heart upgrades all augs by 1, but of course can't upgrade augs past 4.

I thought it said it could even bring some past their maximum effectiveness or something?

Well, either way, I was always far more afraid of running out of power than "****, this aug isn't doing enough for me". Whether that fear is legitimate or not is irrelevant >_>

Piece of advice, don't bother upgrading lockpicking or electronics any further. You'll find more than enough picks and multitools for the rest of the game.

Power Recirculator is better if you're using health regen and cloak/radar cloak a lot, Synthetic Heart is probably better if you went with Aggressive Defense System and/or drones like I did.

My two most used augs right now are regen and cloak, I took drones but using it I found it drains too much energy too fast. Of course if it was upgraded it would probably be more efficient, but then again so would decreasing power cost all-around.

So I took the recirculator and made my way out of the secret underground lab beneath the other secret underground lab. I don't know if I would call my encounter with Maggie a "fight" more of a slaughter really but I suppose she deserved it? I have to admit I thought things were going to get bad then I destroyed the UC and everything started to shake and robot spiders crawled out, but it was all really just a short swim through some tunnels once I got my bearings. Another one of those big mutant animals were in there, I thought there were strong from my previous encounter with them but one swipe of the lightsaber and it died.

Now I'm guess I'm back in Hells Kitchen! Hong Kong was really fun, but I think I'll probably go back there later. When Tong mentioned Paris it made me remember something I heard about this game. A part in the Paris Catacombs that from what I recall is supposed to be awful. Tong also mentioned Gunther was there looking for me, which makes me wonder if I could have killed him back before I got captured. Talking to Jock is always great since it looks like Denton is holding a conversation with a helicopter.

Wow, these spider robots are intense. Hard to hit with the sword, and it feels like all my range weapons take forever to destroy them. I have to save my GEP Gun ammo for the mission.

Yeah they're probably the most annoying enemy in the game. EMP grenades work well if you can hit them.

I have to say, this shipyard mission is probably the best one I've played so far. It's just so huge with many different ways to go about everything. I guess the same thing could be said of the other missions, but this one seems particularly impressive. Just going from the outside of this facility, through various buildings and AC ducts into a full ship I still haven't explored yet is great.
