Im very Victorian. [...] I have come into the 20th Century sufficiently that people dont have to get married and that f*****-queer-homos can live together as long as they dont bother me .
Reading 1980s interviews from the Comics Journal is very enlightening. Thanks for that, John Byrne.
You know, the more I read of him, the more I like Atrocitus. I'm glad we're getting Rage of the Red Lanterns. I just hope they can keep his character a slightly sympathetic one.

From: ZenOfThunder | #108 You're done with Season 1 already? What did you think?
Had a big post about it in the last topic, maybe you should pay more attention >_>
I really loved it. The last episode pissed me off, because they broke Cap's shield, and that doesn't happen, so I was really mad about that, and then it wasn't instantly revived, so I'm even more peeved. The episode itself didn't seem to hold up compared to previous ones either, basically it wasn't anything special.
And I absolutely
f***ing
HATE
when season finales end with a cliffhanger.

Zen I'm guessing that's a friend of yours that liked my comment on your Bane post, and when I saw it in the notifications, I first thought his name was Greg Rucka.
Then I was disappointed when I looked closer.

Actually, how do the Beyond stories work? Are they set in the future of the DCU or in the world of the Batman Beyond TV show? It says it's a spinoff of Batman Beyond, but wasn't that series based on the animated series?
And I could have sworn there was already a "Superman Beyond" comic.
Oh wait, I remembered. Superman Beyond was the title of those crazy two issues that took place in Final Crisis where I had even less of an idea of what was going on than usual.
and it was in 3D

It's based on the Batman Beyond animated series future time. It's not the actual canon future of the DCU (because there is none except for the Legion future)

And technically everything DC does (sans Vertigo I think) is part of the 52 Universes, right? My lit teacher went on a rant when we were reading Justice League: New Frontier about how pointless it was that DC feels the need to overcomplicate even their standalone stories by throwing them on an Earth somewhere.

I love this Wikipedia article, and also Grant Morrison.
This universe is home to black versions of DC characters; including Superman (who is President of the United States) & Wonder Woman, and a version of Brainiac called Brainiac: Vathlo Prime.[43] Recent interviews with Grant Morrison state this world will reappear in the Multiversity limited series.[citation needed] According to writer Grant Morrison, Superman is actually Barack Obama, and Wonder Woman is Beyoncé Knowles.[54]
She's been killing bad guys effortlessly. Not a deal breaker by itself, but the last few issues have all been about Veil saying "Nobody can help me, I have to do this on my own. I can only rely on myself".
Simonson's Thor, he lost his ability to turn into Donald Blake, so he's getting help by Nick Fury to form a civilian appearance. Thor is dressed in a red t-shirt and jeans, but Nick says people will still recognize him, so he says he has the best idea since pizza. It's a pair of glasses. Just some regular glasses. That he gives to Thor to wear, and now he's not at all recognizable.
I'm thinking, well this is an obvious stab at Superman.
Then Clark Kent stumbles into the next panel.
