From: Axl_Rose_85 | #050 Sadly Federer's career seems to be over now. Maybe 1 or 2 slams approx unless he goes back to his former self.
Nadal on the other hand is like the worst ever contender for GOAT. Even if he wins 16+... he'll never be the GOAT. A champion needs a hint of charisma for crying out loud.
This is a terrible post/trolling attempt.

^ So says the ONLY Rafael Nadal fan whose every post is a troll post or some annoying nonsensical fanboyism/girlism crap. And please don't tell me your user name is based on Shining Force's princess Anri.. if that's the case I'm second guessing my taste in RPGs >_>
THIS infact is the worst fanboy/girl post ever. For someone who continually admitted he/she liked Federer, now changes his/her stride the moment he loses.
And that Luckiest athlete spot goes to Nadal.. 3 of his majors were virtually fluke wins. One - the AO final over Federer in 5 sets, two - the Wimbledon final over Federer AGAIN in 5 sets and Three - the US Open win over a beaten down Djokovic (who faced Federer in the semis in a 5 set match) and that took him 5 sets aswell
Nadal's only good on clay, the best... anywhere else he wins only by fluke. Heck Murray deserves a Hard Court GS much more than Nadal.
so let me repharse Princess
Nadal has always been a joke
Luckiest athlete ever... who still hasn't dropped his habit of picking his ass
^ Looking forward to that one! Sharapova doesn't look as good as she did when she won her first Wimbledon... during that time I was like 'Yeooowza!'
Pironkova looked hot to me as well (a little skinny but still). So sad she lost to some lady grunt. And what the **** is up with Wozniacki, how the hell did she even get to no.1. She doesn't deserve the no.1 rank as much as Nadal doesn't deserve any of the majors apart from Roland Garros. ATP should fasten the courts more
I hope Sharapova/Lisicki doesn't start til 4 since that is when I finish work and I'm heading straight to the pub. I'm not an alcoholic, it's just my last day at this company after a loooooong time working here!

Crucifying my Oracle average one match at a time
I get to watch Wimbledon and Roland Garros comfortably as it will only get started by the time I reach home from work with an hour to spare usually. The problem lies with the Aussie Open as well as the US. For Australian Open matches I have to skip work, for the US I have to pull all nighters or very late night sleeps.
^ And I go to clubs every Saturday... that has made me miss the women's final as well as the men's semis (US Open) for the past 3-4 years
Nadal not being good on grass was true....like 6 years ago
Annoying thing for people who dislike nadal(like me!) is that pretty much every tennis guy out there admits he works on his weaknesses to the point where he becomes a scary threat.
His rapid improvement on grass is nothing short of phenomenal, but dude works hard.
Axl_Rose_85 literally the worst user to ever post in these topics.
Its funny how gamefaqs users keep on stressing about the IMO part if someone goes on to say something like FF7 is the best game ever or something like that. Now when some new face shows up (or so they think ^_^) and goes against some regular poster (who spends 24/7 being on board 8 and having 0 social life), then their virtual homies turn up labelling the new guy as some troll or in your case worst user ever as fact.
Use IMO man cuz your statement is going against the nature of the never ending arguments of opinions and facts here on gamefaqs.
I'm the worst user ever... In your opinion (and maybe some others) but anyways cheers. Whatever makes you happy board8er
I love Federer.
No you just love Nadal and deep down you don't like Federer. Your hate for Andy Murray and Roddick is also ridiculous (I don't like those guys either but why the hate???)
I don't have anything against Nadal except for the fact that he has achieved much more than what he should actually have. I don't like the fact that he takes a decade to serve after he's lost a point. And that he takes injury timeouts often to break the momentum of his opponent. That's sly and poor sportsmanship. Did you watch his match against Murray in the AO quarterfinal last year. He was down 2 sets and a break. Instead of just playing cuz he's already lost anyway he withdraws from the match. Just a set ago, he was retrieving balls like crazy. To this day I don't believe for a second that he had any sort of injury and that he was only making up an excuse for his loss. And he has done that a LOT of times. Federer to this day hasn't retired from a SINGLE match. If he's injured he doesn't play at all or complain like Nadal does. He however is much more mentally fragile than the likes of Nadal and Djokovic and doesn't have as much determination. If he worked as hard as Nadal, god knows where he'll be right now.
I respect Nadal for his grit and never say die attitude but whenever he's playing I'm always for his opposition. And your posts are actually making me dislike him even more.
I could just as easily say I'm joking about my previous posts but that the difference between Nadal fans (fan) and Tennis fans.
You praised Nadal for his never say die attitude but spent a whole paragraph complaining about how he quits matches early? what huh
Anyway that match that Nadal and Verdasco played in the semifinals of the Aussie Open that one year cemented my support of Nadal. That match was friggin' incredible.

Sportsmanship and style of play are completely different subject matters.
When Nadal plays a match. He doesn't panic. He saves a lot of break points... puts on a different gear on the important points. In short he has a lot of grit and more often than not he comes back when he's down a break or such. I appreciate that about him. That shows he doesn't give up easily. Thats in tight matches by the way.
Now when his opponent gets a shift in momentum and the moment he sees a no win situation. He either calls a timeout or quits (so that he has an excuse for his loss) or takes so much time in between serving in order to distract the opponent or break their momentum. Heck even the commentators are pointing that issue out. No wonder Berdych and Ljubicic got so annoyed. You'll also see he serves noticeably faster when he's in command. Thats some very sly tactics you know. Most people look past it.
I can even point out some matches in which he used those tactics to completely change the tide of the match in his favor. The one I remember most is the final in Monte Carlo (clay) during Federer's prime. Back then Masters Series used to be best of 5 setters. Nadal was up 2 sets to love against Fed. Fed went into beast mode. Got the 3rd set. Was dominating the 4th set only for Nadal to call a timeout. That completely broke Federer's rhythm. You see those timeouts automatically puts you in a win-win situation. Scenario A (Which is most likely) - Nadal breaks opposition's rhythm to squeeze out a win. Example: Monte Carlo Final (2005 or 2006) against Federer 6-2 7-6 6-7 7-6 (something like that... it was long time back though) Scenario B - Nadal loses. Has an excuse for his loss in the press so that he doesn't give his opponent an edge in their next meeting. Example: AO Open (2010) - loss to Murray 3-6 6-7 0-3 ret. Also blamed loss on a stomach pain in this year AO QF against Ferrer.
It's all psychological. Nadal is like the Jose Mourinho of tennis. Or maybe his uncle is.
My Point is: Nadal = Gritty tennis player but at the same time a bad sportsman.
I like how Djokovic purposely does the same thing while serving against Nadal. It shows that the Djoker is aware of Nadal's sly tactics and he isn't afraid to give him a dose of his own medicine.

Nope. I love Federer and I make fun of Roddick because Kleenex loves him (and he makes himself a target).
Not hating Murray is what deserves an explanation.

omg at least say "IMO" you can't tell me that is my opinion too don't make me go get my cyber buddies to come tell you new users to respect us salty veterans my opinion is different

From: The Mana Sword | #082 Tsonga's one of the streakiest players on the tour, he can play great at times and then just go off the rails at the drop of a hat.
thought you were talking about monfils for a second :P
dunno, what that guy is on about, in all honesty there is pretty much nothing to dislike about Nadal, he plays hard, he has a will to win and he displays a lot of emotion on the court. Heck his rivalries over the years have even led to some great moments.
BUT GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO RODDICK!
COME ON HEWITT(literally playing on jelly legs at this point)
