Yesterday's results:

Xenogears (Brawl for Broke Conference) (4-3) – 24 (57.14%)
Ghost Trick (Smackdown Hotel Conference) (1-6) – 18 (42.86%)
--Xenogears gets a close but not really that close win over Ghost Trick.

The World Ends With You (Zelda Overload Conference) (2-5) – 20 (44.44%)
#18 Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (Nintendo Objections Conference) (5-2) – 25 (55.56%)
--TWEWY has held up admirably against two popular handheld titles the past two weeks, last week with RBY and this week with PW1.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Brawl for Broke Conference) (0-7) – 16 (43.24%)
Chrono Cross (Sonic Overload Conference) (4-3) – 21 (56.76%)
--Alpha 3 just can't seem to find that elusive first win. Chrono Cross ensured that SFA3 winning this match became an alternate timeline that doesn't exist within this one.

Lunar: Silver Star Story (Tanooki Blitzball Conference) (5-2) – 26 (66.67%)
Tekken 3 (Twilight Barrel Galaxy Conference) (1-6) – 13 (33.33%)
--Lunar gets the doubling on Tekken 3 to improve to 5-2.

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Thousand-Year World of Sunshine Conference) (6-1) – 26 (57.78%)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (Smash Trigger Conference) (3-4) – 19 (42.22%)
--So when does Aria of Sorrow start to get top 25 consideration?

Grand Theft Auto IV (Patriot Time Portals Conference) (0-7) – 18 (41.86%)
Valkyria Chronicles (Brawl for Broke Conference) (3-4) – 25 (58.14%)
--After losing its first four matches, Valkyria Chronicles has won its last three. GTA4 can only hope for a similar winning streak in its future.

Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes (Smash Trigger Conference) (4-3) – 25 (62.50%)
Nier (Tanooki Blitzball Conference) (0-7) – 15 (37.50%)
--MvC2 has no problems taking out Nier.

World of Goo (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (2-5) – 21 (52.50%)
Mortal Kombat II (Patriot Time Portals Conference) (1-6) – 19 (47.50%)
--MK2 falls just short against World of Goo.

Star Fox 64 (Twilight Barrel Galaxy Conference) (6-1) – 24 (51.06%)
Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal (Games of the Decades Conference) (5-2) – 23 (48.94%)
--This was a close match most of the way, but SF64 got the last vote of the match to break the tie and get the win.

Okami (Smackdown Hotel Conference) (5-2) – 36 (78.26%)
Guitar Hero II (Sonic Overload Conference) (0-7) – 10 (21.74%)
--Okami obliterates Guitar Hero II. Paintbrushes > Guitars, apparently.

Battletoads (Brawl for Broke Conference) (1-6) – 9 (23.08%)
Shadow Hearts (Cult RPG Galaxy Conference) (5-2) – 30 (76.92%)
--Does Board 8 actively hate Battletoads or something? I've never heard of any sort of outspoken hate base for it, but it apparently exists!

#16 Final Fantasy X (Tanooki Blitzball Conference) (6-1) – 24 (53.33%)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (Nintendo Objections Conference) (4-3) – 21 (46.67%)
--Admirable performance for Uncharted 2 here against FFX. Its three losses are to Metroid Prime, LTTP, and now to FFX. Not bad company there.

#5 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Zelda Overload Conference) (7-0) – 25 (55.56%)
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Fanservice Conference) (2-5) – 20 (44.44%)
--KOTOR gets dangerously close to LTTP, but it can't quite get the upset.

F-Zero GX (Patriot Time Portals Conference) (5-2) – 14 (29.70%)
#1 Chrono Trigger (Smash Trigger Conference) (7-0) – 33 (70.21%)
--F-Zero GX isn't quite ready to hang out with the big boys yet.

Ouch Link to the Past! Twilight Princess got 63% on the same game back in week 2!

...that's it, we need to see GoldenEye vs. Knights of the Old Republic. War of the licensed games here we come!

And FFX hasn't been looking so hot lately. Getting blown out by SSBM and barely defeating something that needed overtime to defeat SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE back in week one??? Are you serious???

Plus, I thought people actually knew Battletoads. Maybe it's not as widely played as I thought!

Really bad stuff. And thus same for Mega Man X, Super Mario Galaxy 2, yadda yadda.

Bring on the RPI!

Honestly, by now we should pretty much throw results from the first few weeks out the door. Anyway, it's pretty funny that we're considering Yoshi's Island to be on the same level as Super Metroid and Paper Mari when it could only beat GoldenEye by one vote.

Yeah, I'm not quite ready to vote for it yet...but next week it faces Bioshock, which is likewise 6-1 and its only loss was by 1 vote to Earthbound in Week 1. Now, I'm not ready to vote for Bioshock either despite its only loss being a surprisingly close one against a quality game, because I think the strongest game it's actually beaten is TWEWY, but unless something else surprising happens, I think the winner of that match will probably get my 25th place vote.

It's probably because of Chrono Trigger looking so beastly.

Personally, I'm surprised TWEWY has performed so poorly up to this point. I had assumed it was just because not enough of B8 has played it, and not enough of those who have are voting in this topic. But seeing it perform admirably in its last two matches has been reassuring. It takes quite the game to win my vote over PW!

Hilariously enough, MVP Baseball did better against The Thousand-Year Door than it did against Half-Life 2.

Also, A Link to the Past did worse against Knights of the Old Republic than Kirby 64 did. Maybe this is just a sign that Knights is going to stop messing around and start taking this seriously.

Oh, and now...The Misadventures of World of Warcraft!

Week 1: 22.73% on Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood with 10 votes.
Week 2: 21.05% on Sonic Adventure 2 with 12 votes.
Week 3: 39.53% on Harvest Moon: Back to Nature with 17 votes.
Week 4: 28.89% on Shadow Hearts with 13 votes.
Week 5: 28.89% on Diablo II with 13 votes.
Week 6: 29.55% on Suikoden V with 13 votes.
Week 7: 23.4% on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time with 11 votes.

And the timeless adventures of Ocarina of Time!

Week 1: 83.33% on Marvel Ultimate Alliance with 35 votes.
Week 2: 74.07% on Sonic Colors with 40 votes.
Week 3: 66.67% on Ghost Trick with 32 votes.
Week 4: 81.48% on Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War with 44 votes.
Week 5: 64.15% on Final Fantasy VII with 34 votes.
Week 6: 55.77% on Castlevania: Symphony of the Night with 29 votes.
Week 7: 76.6% on World of Warcraft with 36 votes.

So World of Warcraft is apparently stronger than BattleToads. We should pit it against another huge anti-vote target sometime. Oh, and obviously Ocarina of Time is going to lose to Assassins Creed: Brotherhood and Sonic Adventure 2!

In all seriousness though, for all the flak that WoW is taking, it at least has never been held under 20%, meaning that it probably has a far better record than at least SOME of the winless games here (looking at you Gears of War 2!). Although WoW also hasn't broken 40%, which means that its small fanbase must be really static or something. The conclusion is that on Board 8, WoW's fans must really care for their game. At least WoW can take that away from this.

Currently Final Fantasy VI is winning by one vote. My vote!

Okay, so if things continue as they are now, the only undefeated Wii games left will be...Brawl and Twilight Princess, the two games which, to some loud anti-Wii fans, exemplify why Nintendo sucks this generation. How ironic.

Then again, I honestly think...okay, let's look:

Twilight Princess is currently tripling its opponent. What a dominant game!

Hilariously enough, MVP Baseball did better against The Thousand-Year Door than it did against Half-Life 2.

It is getting stronger every week! Soon it will be able to actually win.

It could probably beat something like...I dunno, World of Warcraft?

Oh yeah next rivalry week should have World of Warcraft against either Guitar Hero II or Call of Duty 4. Or maybe WoW vs. Battletoads?
