I believed Sheik > Zelda at the time I first planned the rally, which is to say between when Metalman lost and Zelda wrecked Squall revealing what BotW did for her. Sheik is still significantly better and very different in Smash thus the inspiration here -- still believe that. This is a site where LoZ is the single-player king and Smash is the multi-player king. Yes, they should have new characters represented when they get the nominations. Also there are not as many LoZ characters (seven I think) as series like Final Fantasy,, Pokemon,, Mario, Smash, I think Metal Gear Solid...heck, Super Meat Boy's had seven characters too if I want to stretch the point. LoZ's always been underserved on characters given the size of its series here. And one of the most fun things is rallying for a character to get in -- Doc Louis, Epona, Metalman, those were all fun to try and I got two of them in (one for a vote-in). Iriquois Pliskin, Jaycee, and the likes of them were never very convincing they were someone else. Sheik was. Zelda was in three games before Sheik's premiere and was never as cool as Sheik was up to that point. Sheik was immediately a fan favorite. At the peak of Zelda's popularity, we were believing in Sheik. If one game's ending and two games' Down-B moves didn't link them together, there wouldn't be any point in contesting this. Those things obviously happened and I won't act obtuse about that -- I get the opposition here -- but also don't act obtuse about how different Sheik and Zelda are and why people could feel differently about one as opposed to another. Sheik is not analogous to clone characters or different colors of Yoshis.
