Finally left my job

I wanted to leave some months ago but I agreed to stay on to train a replacement but yea, just got sucked back in.

as some of you know, I have been having major health issues and it actually stemmed from the job. I started developing high blood pressure and one of my eyes started losing vision because of it.

Its ALOT better. I got another procedure done earlier in the week. I have discovered some people faint when I tell them what they do to me so I won't say, but I'll just say I will never get used to it

I have another appointment next month and they'll see if they need to do the procedure again

I am on medication too. Probably for the rest of my life. We'll see, I just don't see myself "beating" this, at least the blood pressure thing.

but anyways, yea, Workplace hardly cared for any of this and me taking lots of off to fix it. Many people have left, there was only 4 people now. One of them had to leave state to help her aunt, one their family got covid, while he was negative, I was like, just stay over there. Hes gonna get it eventually. And then me with my current conditions. THE NEW GUY I TRAINED WAS THE ONLY PERSON LEFT. I actually was supposed to have this procedure done a few weeks ago but I passed on it because I couldn't leave the new guy to run the store by himself for a few days. He still isn't ready

I was fucking PISSED i put the job before my health. I started talking to my bosses about closing the store down but they didn't want to. Because technically I am still capable and so is he. SO FUCK IT, I left. and my Right hand man, the guy with his family having Covid, left with me.

IDk what they're going to do but IDC

so yea, I have discussed before but the main reason I tried creating a presence on Twitter is to build a fan base to start selling Merch, looks like that time is here. I'm still not ready for this, but its sink or swim time.

I have been building a nest egg this entire time but ALL of the doctor visits have been eating into it since I have had to see multiple doctors many times in a small time frame. And I still have some more too. They took away my insurance last year btw.

I opened up a tip jar on twitter and I have had some help, it was nice.

but yea, next month, starting commissions, wanna try to sell stickers and prints. If not, I have several years experience in management. Maybe I can get a desk job.

But Yea, I don't think people are supposed to be working in Retail as long as I have, I'm ashamed of myself. I feel like I wasted my life. I know not to give my body to a corporation thats soul less, but I still did. but I still have my life ahead of me, its never too late to "Go for it"

also I'm gonna try to take streaming a little more seriously. I'll never be a super star or a partner but I HAVE gotten some checks. Maybe try to get those checks happen a bit more frequently would be good too

I did find it odd how you mentioned in your previous topic that you didn't have health insurance despite being like a full-time store manager, but they literally took it away from you. its really freaky to have half your vision gone. You rely on your peripheral vision way more than you think. I have to completely turn my head to my left to see besides me when I merge into a car lane because I just can't do a quick nod to check my blindside

they put drops but one of them shots is to numb it all the way, and I still feel the second one, but its at least not as painful at that point. but I legit start shaking when I see the needle coming, its a mind screw

It was a technicality that they totally acted on, it was dependent on hours and hours got HELLA reduced during Lockdown for some months, so they were like "lol you lost it"

there was alot of issues trying to get back in

oh hell yea, Primes definitely count, infact, they're probably better since they are monthly and don't cost the person anything, yet still give the same benefits to both parties
