Like it is a thing that has certainly been happening forever. People keep saying "OMG 10K KIDS HAD HEART ATTACKS SINCE THE PANDEMIC??? MUST BE THE VACCINE!"

A kid dies of a heart attack every few years in my city. They always get a big fundraiser or a chair named after them or some shit. It's not the vaccine that's doing it.

I don't think a kid dying every four or five year of a heart attack in one city is really that strange? Many kids have undiagnosed heart conditions, but otherwise are perfectly normal. They do some kid shit, overexert themselves, and boom. Heart attack. Dead.

Apparently cardiac arrest is the #1 cause of death among high school athletes, kids who should be in peak physical condition.

Damage comes from strain, teen athletes push too hard, it's not surprising.

Also 'rona messed up my heart, I would assume it does the same to kids too.

https://www.healthychildren.org/English/health-issues/injuries-emergencies/sports-injuries/Pages/Sudden-Cardiac-Death.aspx

According to some very quick research, it looks like the typical rate is ~2000 Americans under 25 dying of sudden cardiac arrest per year. If 10,000 kids have died in two years, that is well above the average (by 150%), but blaming the vaccine makes little sense unless there's a definite increase that lines up with when that age bracket became eligible for the vaccine. I also note you're just saying "heart attacks," not necessarily "death by heart attack," which would also explain the discrepancy unless you do actually mean deaths.

It's more that there aren't many other major causes of death for high school athletes. Certainly, overexertion is going to push undiagnosed heart conditions into problem territory, but being the leading cause means it's just more common than everything else, not that it's not quite uncommon.

Oh hey, that suggests there should have been ~14,000 heart attacks in kids since the pandemic started. That actually works out pretty well. 12,250 if we say it's been 1.75 years (April 10, 2020 to today) instead of a full 2, which might be more reasonable because the pandemic didn't really take off in the US until about then.
