20 y/o Gesart Hoxha was the man the girl was exchanging messages with and is now charged in connection with the molestation of the woman's child

Klein was busted on December 14th on counts of enticing a child for indecent purposes and cruelty to children

Hoxha was taken into cutsody a month before for statutory rape and enticing a child for indecent purposes.

They were going to arrange a meeting with the woman's daughter to travel to Texas, where she was staying to Atlanta to meet the 20 y/o man for sex at a hotel room paid for by both of them

The investigation got under way when Internet Crimes against children taskforce lead a search warrant on Hoxha's apt on Buford, Georgia where police found a large amount of cash and sexually explicit photos depicting Klein's daughter

Hoxha has since been released on December 15th while Klein remains in jail without bond

Was this something the daughter wanted and the mother was being irresponsible? Did the man bribe the mother? Or was the mother pimping out the daughter the whole time? It mentions the man and daughter had exchanged x-rated messages, but was that something the mother was getting her to do or something the girl did? The oddness of the story and lack of details raises so many fucking questions, although the mother looks like a POS in all of them

The 5th and 14th Amendment as they regard the presumption of innocence. Although not explicitly stated, presumption of innocence is a bedrock of the American Judicial system.

This is what I'm referring to. Since he's already guilty of that, he shouldn't get bail for future claims.

...taken into custody means arrested and presumably charged, not "guilty." Even a plea doesn't usually come within a month of being charged with something. He almost certainly hasn't gone to trial because even when there isn't a global health pandemic, it takes a while for shit to go to trial.

More importantly, even a prior conviction doesn't count as grounds for denying bail for other crimes because that's not how anything works, nor should it -- unless that prior conviction involved jumping bail. Conviction of a previous crime isn't automatic proof of a guilt for a new crime because, and this is true, defendants CAN be innocent of crimes, even when convicted of similar things in the past.

And the timeline isn't clear as to *when* all of these things happened. Just because he was arrested on Dec 14th doesn't mean he'd made arrangements that same month, because the arrest was based on the discovery of the arrangements which -- I imagine -- were the result of the continued investigation into the previous crime but again, there's no way of knowing that from these details. The arrangements themselves likely took time to set up.

He was taken into custody. That generally means he was arrested on suspicion of the crime. It does not mean he was convicted. So again, presumption of innocence.
