That video was the kingmaker of the trial that led to the trio getting all guilty verdicts with a life in prison sentence almost all but guaranteed with a judge deciding if any will get parole. Alan says he thought the video would exonerate his clients after consulting with them and would have HELPED them but now sees that it was their downfall Alan gave the video to WGIG who thought would ease tensions at the time from BLM protests in the community. But ironically, it is what led to their arrests after 3 months but despite that, a first prosecutor recused herself from the case and then a second did the same but not before REFUSING to press charges. It wasn't until it gained international attention and outcry that arrests were called when the full video surfaced.. I'm sure people get away with murder just due to lack of evidence in general. Some bigger cases OJ (not really a lack of evidence, just GOOD evidence people could trust) got him a not guilty. Then Casey Anthony, lacked evidence for 1st degree murder, they over charged and a lesser one could have probably stuck. Same probably goes for George Zimmerman case too. Those are cases EVERYONE knows about.
