While this is true, this is mostly because people see a degree and go "oh ok this person is capable of finishing some things they start". Not because it is particularly useful in educating people. Having a college degree is a good way to show you deserve to move past certain low-effort people filtration systems. But considering how much it costs, I remain unconvinced it's a good value proposition.
