The disproportionate attention the media gives Twitter is absurd. They act like it's a complete and accurate reflection of reality when it's really just its own little microcosm.

Who even uses Twitter? I don't anyone on real life that does. I know lots of people that use fb, insta, snapchat, etc... but I don't know a single soul that actually tweets

From what I've seen it's popular with younger people who are into the "influencer" scene. I don't know anyone my age that uses, but my sisters and their friends are pretty active on it.

If I could Id elect AOC to be the first Empress of the U.S.

Id also would assign my face to be the royal throne.

It's not as common than one would think. Less than one in five US adults regularly use Twitter, for example.

meh, they're spinning it to make it look like AOC only cares if you DIE as opposed to when you're ALIVE.

I'm not sure why all the most outrageous of internet folk think that AOC is capable of parting the red sea and then SCREAM when she doesn't. they seem to be under the delusion that AOC alone can force M4A through. Then when anyone points out otherwise, they accuse you of being a Democrat shill. No, I hate establishment Democrats too. I just don't like screaming at one another over impossible notions.

Anyway, that thing with the donations was a misstep on her part. She's trying to help secure the Democrats' majority, but the more conservative democrats despise her and don't want to be associated with her, and her donors don't want their money going to those democrats anyway; if they did, they would have donated to those people instead. That said, only a fringe # are seething about this; agitators like Jimmy Dore are pushing shit like this as being way more incendiary than it actually is in order to grift off the hot topic that is AOC.

Yup this doesn't seem to be taken with any weight by her base, just opponents riling up their base thinking this is some gotcha "ohhhh" moment.

Critical thinking skills really need to be a priority with government goals.
